"Dream"

"Dream"
Do you know how hard.. it is to say...
that I'm in love with you...
When I know you'll never feel the same...
no matter what I do,
To know that you will never care...
to never feel your touch...
Is almost more than I can bear...
when truth becomes too much,
It's not as if I didn't know...
what I'd stepped into...
It was more about just knowing...
what's inside of you,
For that, I don't regret...
this pain that wounds my heart...
If we didn't love each other...
this world would come apart,
I know the dreams within my heart...
I'll never realize...
But it takes me to a distant place...
when I look into your eyes,
And though my heart is broken...
it's not always as it seems...
We will always be together...
when I close my eyes and dream.
