Prose

- The dread of God that drives one away from Him (3:8) as resulted by shame and guilt.
- Religion and self-righteousness, i.e., trying to please God with good works (3:7b, 4:28b).
- Pestilence and poverty (3:17-19)
- Faultfinding (3:12)
- Insecurity (4:5)
- Hate, which means coldness in love (4:8-9)
- Restlessness ( (2:9a, 4:12b)
- Death (2:17; 5:7, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 27, 31).

*Even so, God was determined to reconcile us back to Him.
- First, He seeks for us like a shepherd looking for a straying sheep from his flock (3:8-9).
- Then, He deals with each one of us personally (4:6-7).
- And finally, He provides righteousness for us and gives us the hope of redemption (3:12, 3:15c, 4:25, 5:29). This hope leads us to Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:13).
