Homeless Child

Two girls at a toy store stand
They're heads held high
A purchase it seems
Stands nigh
I wonder if
They could find room for me
Yet unfair to the others
It might be
I am just a child
But from my home
My parents gone
I have been thrown
No home have I
And in this cold winter snow
I may yet die
And gain wings so pretty to show
