Why daddy?
Why'd you go?
Can't you tell me
And let me know?
Where are you now
In Heaven or Hell?
I want you home
Where you still belong
I try to hold back my tears
But knowing you are gone
Get harder through the days

When I am gone
Lay me dow on a bed of roses
Please don't cry
I'll be with dad at dawn
When I am gone
Plant roses by my grave
And pleases don't cry
Your tears please save
When I am gone
Please don't cry
Just remember
It was my time to go
I'll watch over you at night
And all throughout the day
Until you once again
Come my way

I Thought

I thought today
About the times we had
And the ones you'll miss
Where'd you go dad?
Why aren't you here?
I try to smile
But all I have is tears
Why aren't you here
You won't be here
To walk me down the aisle
Or play with your grandhildren
If only for a short while
If only Heaven
Weren't so far away
I'd come for a week
Screw just a day

Homeless Child

Two girls at a toy store stand
They're heads held high
A purchase it seems
Stands nigh
I wonder if
They could find room for me
Yet unfair to the others
It might be
I am just a child
But from my home
My parents gone
I have been thrown
No home have I
And in this cold winter snow
I may yet die
And gain wings so pretty to show
