Bound by Darkness

Darkness in my soul
I plead you go away
and be with me no more,
yet here you are to stay.
Haunting you have been
to cause me endless pain
broken i've become
I've nothing left to gain.
Time and time again
the light begins to show
yet slowly fades away
it's darkness that I know.

Deadly Rain

Deep inside my conscience
It rains upon my soul
It pierces through my self-defense
And leaves a burning hole.
It rips out all the stitches
I've woven throughout the years
And knocks me down and cuts me up
Leaving nothing but blood and tears.
The rain that wrecks my spirit
And makes me go insane
My battered, bloodied, broken heart
Defeated by the rain.
