Romance Of A Socialist

Romance is for him just a phantasm
With socialism installed in his sanctum
Can not entice him any damsel or fairy buxom
Since in reality he is a victim of narcissism.

Allured he may not be by wealth or riches
Though at crucial times loyalty he switches.
An expert in disguise n giving justifications
To prove self he may cross any limitations.

Meaning of friendship his actions may alter
For proving chrished point he may put it on altar
Forcing its' existence be "Gone with the wind",
Espousing false principle n being unkind.

May the God save all friends n relations
From the onslaught of a socialists' imagination.

Tornado

It hits though for a few seconds
It reminds the devastating penchant
Of the nature while in its' full rage;
Within seconds nothing can be salvaged
From the onslaught of the tornado.

Huge wealth amassed by a miser,
Gigantic buildings built by a builder;
Plants for years nurtured by a gardner
With its' one hit they are no where
Such is the might of tornado.

The pride of the human intellect
Victory even on  nature it boasts
By manufacturing cars n planes,
In speed with air which can compete
In a second you destroy, oh tornado.

The nature through you tries to teach
Its' children that they should behave.
Like tides of ocean in limits to live.
No grudge no ill will they should preach
Else they too 'd be hit by TORNADO.

Romance Of A Bureaucrat

Change is life though he loves status-quo
Unwillingly perhaps yet he accepts to bow
Before the authoritys' command for change
Coward in him fails to face powers' challenge.

Inaction nindecision are inherent qualities
Practices by bureaucrat by grace of almighty.
In romance he indulges with schemes n reforms
Loyalty n sincerety , never he follows such norms.

Romance of a bureaucrat blurs any vision
That incorporates plans n their implementation.
Mismanagement ,misconceptions are the basics
That tran and teach many him treachrous tricks.

He romances too with Guv. policys' formulation
Its' circulation and also on it ample discussion.

Compromise

Once I told a cloud
Not to make sound loud,
For it you are not allowed
And in time you 've to rain.

I had to tell too to my mind
Not in the milieu to be blind,
To accept reality you are bound
Letting thy nations to drain.

I had to change the notions
The cloud too had to rain.
The clouds' n mine bargain
Lie bound in a chain.

Joy demands the only price,
Nothing else but compromise.

A Burlesque On Liberalization

Long live the freedom newly found,
Far below has been left the ground,
Drinking the elixir of liberalization
We 've forgotten human sensations.

Live n let others live, motto we had.
Our prosperity we often used
For not so lucky, as ordained
By culture n sacraments we 've gained.

Liberalized now is our greed for wealth.
No one is left to repose the faith
In moral values like selflessness,
Really oh God, we are is a mess.

Its time, wake-up for liberalization
From greed, to keep up our traditions.

Pledge

many a wars the freedom fighters fought
To free you motherland from shackels of slavery,
Displaying rare courage they martyred with bravery
And threw to the wings their dear ones lots.

Significance of the freedom they did know
Gen next inherited it and started to it blow.
Blurring, thus, in slavery and freedom boundary
Making hard earned freedom virtual and imaginery.

For common man freedom has become illusory
Its' fruits were reaped, though, by few coteries
Governed by selfishness and inhuman qualities
Who are ruled by even the setanic mentalities.

We pledge oh motherland on this Valentine Day
To regain true freedom ,for you, in a noble way.

Glimpses Of Life

Unpredictable future is the spice of life.
Scattered are islands of joy in the ocean of grief.
Not ruled it is by any definite symmetry,
Shapes it evolves are not found in geometry.

Learn you have to to take life in its' stride
Or else, engulfed you will be in ocean of grief.
To be silent spectator is best way to enjoy,
You have to treat own life just like a toy.

Rat race you will notice going on around you,
Every body is running without motive or any clue.
Life passes producing zero on summing-up
Immovable n in any way at the end flop.

Fast is life they say in Mumbai- a metropolis.
No doubt in speed are its' trains n vehicles.
The Mumbaikar alas struggles to balance
Standing still in it bundled and facing nuisance.

Genius here is faced to dust and wasted
While the clever and cunning are often roasted
In glory and success to their feet kisses,
On them is showered all types of riches.

To know what is life saints did penance,
All the mortals' joys they had to renounce.
Dip themselves they had to in spirituality
To obtain on life celestial authority.

Glimpses of life ,may 've we lesser ones
As snap shots of a colourful landscape
Shot through windows of our motley emotions,
Fueled by our senses and helped by our ken.

AN ODE TO WINE

An universal anecdote on pain
In frustration you are a companion.
In limit an elixir and a potion
A must you are in our celebrations.
Ambrosia secured through churning,
By divinity and demons, of oceans
You are the award to their off springs.

Born you are for the sublimation
Of every thing humane n their emotions.
No poor soul could know truth eternal
Till the all knowing monarch did spell
Notion of producing you from food grains,
Keeping crores hungry for the gains
Of the greedy embodiment of devils.

From elixir, anecdote n a potion
They have transformed you in poison
For uprooting coming generations,
Who could make superpower to our nation.
Omnipresence as base you are in potions
Omnipotence you have for intoxication.
Best friend you are for those in agony
Though deceptive mirth is your progeny.

You in yourself were always fine
When you were only a peg of wine.
The unhappy can forget all the pain
When you take them in your domain.

Simple Yet Intricate

No doubt you gave us brain, a gift sovereign
To unveil the mysteries behind our each gain.
It enables us to reach upto definite decisions
Regarding our constitution and origin even.

An intricate computer is the human mind,
Cybernetics, computer science has so proved.
Yet unlike computers why it bears emotions?
Why oh God we can not find on it any solution.

Of modern science is it victory or defeat,
Which is no doubt for human mind a credit.
It is able to synthesize the mechanical man,
Though devoid of any life or any emotions.

We find hopelessly, your gift has limitations
And after a certain point we 've to gulp dejection.
We 've to realize with moan our incompleteness,
Any clue for completion is beyond our guess.

Why God, why you left us perfectly imperfect
In each sphere including our motley emotions.
You made the human mind simple yet intricate,
Was it thy fear for safety from his perfection!

Positive Musings

Infinite n unpredictable is the chain of thoughts
On a simpleton humans' life shadows it casts.
Coherent and productive the thoughts are seldom
They go for a quantum leap once in a life time.

Longing for laurels, riches or love of the loved ones
From them separations fear, poverty n defamation
Engulfs the life span optimum of a common man
Compelled who is to live life just like an anon.

Incoming thoughts resist all sorts of preventions
They may be swayed and altered by imaginations.
Admit we may then those akin to our aspirations,
Chained they may be by ones firm determination.

Life takes a quantum jump by positive thinking,
Get rid of mournful and all negative musings.

THE BURNING MIND

God calmly sat for meditation once
He decided to incarnate as a poet great.
To be carefree amidst humans and rejoice
Frame he built and for heart used 14 carats

Before inducting life by sprinkling ambrosia
In the frame of poet with a twig of acacia,
God left it in urgency making way for Godess
Who entered there with a can and in a rush.

The God enkindled a lamp on his return
To heat poets' heart and to it strengthen.
Alas suddenly fuel spread on it caught fire.
By a sheer accident the heart was in flames,
Destining it for ever in emotions to burn.

The mind is an enclave of every poet great
Encircled in flames perhaps for enunciation,
To create a delicate bond in myrh and realism.
Engulfed in fire though it is never gutted
Burnt are emotions erupting from poesys' blossom.

Rhythm Of Life

At an infinite distance from this planet
Roaming stars in the galaxy we can not count
And on a clear night when we probe them
A genuine joy we get from their beauty supreme.

But when the science with its' achievements
Enables us to reach to the stars distant
Giving us a chance to study their structure
We realize from our hearts a beautys' departure.

No doubt the modern science is noble
And can be compared with doctrines spiritual
It vouches "all that glitters is not gold"
Only the thing is to accept it we must be bold.

Modern man pursues joy through materialism
Involves in position where pity he can not claim.
Instead of means as the end he accepts money,
Runs after it throughout life, to be seized by agony.

At the end he realizes that all it was a game
And he did'nt do anything to nurture his self,
He did'nt observe anytime the rhythm of life
Of which he was no more than a victim.

Instead of knowing structure of the stars
The dreaming man sees beauty in wealth
Till his life ends abruptly being victim of death,
He dies, being defeated n not knowing any thing.

If a man in life uses some intelligence
To know Rhythm Of Life and its' importance
He willl certainly accept money as a means
And will achieve both worlds' confluence.

EAST AND WEST

Volatile values and allurement of glamour
Gifted to the human as boons of materialism.
He has to drift then from ancient spiritualism
And to take recourse to superficial shimmer.

Age old our heritage and ancient civilization
Prided in imbibing values and emotions.
It taught us to be loyal with motley relations
And preserve their sanctity not as a showman.

The bonds of relations, deeprooted and pure
Bind the persons related by blood either
Or by the "Karma" as follower and preacher
Asks for any proof or any show, never-never!

Oriental spiritualism infuses pure values
In absence of display too, emotions are true.

PHOENIX

Blooming of a bud into beautiful flower
Breath taking hues mingled in its attire
More precious it is than even a sapphire
Bounty of the nature every where appears.

Flower is destined alas soon to perish
Unlike mother India's charm celestial.
Unity in diversity its off springs cherish
No onslaught can push it into grave peril.

Mountains, rivers picturesque landscapes
Scattered everywhere are scenic expanses.
Every thing contributes to it enhances
Abounding scenic beauty of varied shapes.

Like a phoenix it did come out of ashes
Of slavery of centuries imposed by tyrants.
No doubt will come out soon from the mesh,
Quagmire of corruption of own lieutenants.

Sons of this soil by default were innocent
Weight age their lives had for spiritualism,,
Sacrifice was boon for foes of materialism
Legacy of such teachings was too sacrosanct.

Status of diety was conferred here on guests
Forgiving their ulterior motives or quests.
Eternal joy was pursued through contentment,
Infants were fed on this potion by parents.

The tyrrany of intruders had its toll
Deceit was ushered in in place of innocence
Forgetting the morals the place of sacrifice
Our legacy of values too had a back roll.

Concept of globalization tossed by big players
Ensured their feeding at the cost of smallers,
Paralyzing our wisdom though for a while
Definite is our victory in the end on guile.

EPIC OF LIFE-3

Scattered on an elevation are the Konkani huts
Adjoining the beach in an elegant resort.
With its "Tarang" the beach restaurant
On a platter natural beauty the duo present.

The divine scenic beauty and its' hypnotism
Spellbounds a spectator n pushes him in bosom
Of the mother nature and he enters a trance
Sitting under umbrella facing ocean Arabian.

Blowing hot air on scorching summer noon
Humid atmosphere soaking in perspiration
Compel even the birds to find their shelter
Leaving solitary ocean with his tides to roar.

Solace could be found from sip through straw
When ambrosia from raw coconut you draw.
That can make you in scorching summer calm
Standing beneath meager shadow of a palm.

THE KNOT OF LOVE

Sometimes my emotions
Get speedy transactions
And then my little heart,
Forgetting its' own bits,
Entangles fully in thoughts
Of loves' different knots.

A precious knot of love
With the beloved which is tied
After lapse of time gets loose
Sometimes even gets untied.

When the love becomes dim,
In different directions swim
The lover n his once beloved
To become forever estranged.

PENDULUM

Our Kerala tour moved like a pendulum
For a while only at Ernakulam.
Hotel Sunniti suites on highway forty seven
Though gave a feeling that we were in haven.

Life was paralyzed on Feb 20 and twenty one
By the Bharat Bandh called by leftists n CPM.
Lot of fun n frolic we had in the sojourn
Enjoy in the Vihar was the aim of every one.

Torrid atmosphere prevailing at Ernakulam
Was contained fabulously by air conditioners.
Unfulfilled wish to visit unique Kochi harbour
Was mellowed by scenic beauty at beach Kovalam.

Joy n sorrow are perhaps the destinations
Touched frequently by our mind's Pendulum.

ROMANCE OF AN INTELLECTUAL

Intellectuals are gifted with supernatural power,
Of justifying their espousal even of convienience
Even with ideas n principles they may accept never
And though it may cause breach of their conscience.

Every ruler, may he be despot or gem of governance
Requires his pack of intellecuals to impart guidance.
Thy project the ruler and his system as egalitarian.
Adroitly they can do it by dividing whole population.

As an exception to the rule are diehard intellectuals
Who may prefer extinction for belief and principles.
They are though side tracked by cunning brethren,
Who overshadow them with fractured perceptions.

History has often witnessed intellectuals' pliability
When despotic rules shatter their cherished integrity.

TEMPLE OF DEMOCRACY

Human conceptualized the best polity
For superb governance is the democracy,
That ensures for every one equal opportunity
Desisting in any form, rule of any dynasty.

Legislature, judiciary, bureaucracy n press
Are four pillars on which rests its' edifice.
Most sacred sanctum is the parliament
Of its temple n it is not for entertainment.

Honesty, integrity, empathy and sincerity
Be qualifications for a parliamentarian
Not less than a priest to be for egalitarian
Societys' inception and benefit to majority.

A pious duty on every one it entrusts
To ensure the qualities, in him, they must.

Romance Of Seasons

Ttorried summer scorched earth in tropicals
Just like the passionate longing of a damsel,
Striving for her confluence with her lover
To quench her desires with cupids' showers.
Earth too strived for torrential rains
To quench her thirst and being cooled down.

Confluence with lover brought her blossom
Evident in her all actions n appearance.
Joy she then exuded with full enthusiasm
Her dreamy eyes too oozed pure romance.
Streams, waterfalls and green expanses
Vouched for the mirth showered on earth.

The scenic beauty then evident everywhere
Is as precious as to an ingenue her lover.

The Waiter

Waiter, oh waiter a voice I heard
Coming upto me from a baldy sat
In a corner holding his felt hat.
"Can't you see Yusuf, my master cried
A customer is for you there waiting
And oh rascal what you are doing?

On that day I was somewhat sad
And had a plan for me to decide
Whether to work lifelong as a waiter
Or to leave it for an occupation better.
Night I spent by weeping on my fate
Day dwaned before  decision I could take.

Same day on 5 th storey I went at night,
Entering the room I put on the light.
There I found Rita as if she was dead
My master moaning sitting in a chair.
He was horrified at me when he looked,
Come Yusuf, help me he said with a tear.

Till that time I was the only waiter,
A confident of my millionaire master.
Being a confident I had each report
Of my masters' business on the port.
Morover a smuggler and a blackmailer
I did smell him then as also a murderer.

For the sum of Rs five thousand net
I helped him and then didn't hesitate.
At the midnight from our cafe Orienta
We then cleared off the body of Rita.
My master gave me at once the sum
I too did agree to remain dumb.

Since childhood I did see murders
And also assisted in such cases many.
So Ritas' homicide was not a wonder
Or shock and it was a matter too silly.
But my master did not forget it
And since then he began to me hate.

One day he said I wish to clear
Your all accounts just to you clear
Off from this cafe which is mine
And Yusuf I know your nature is divine.
With good capital you 'll leave the city
Soon somewhere you 'll get position pretty.

For my master I had little pity
So guessing his condition I agreed
With him to take all my money
In cash from him and to go away
From that buxom city, as he said
Why he intended it he then told.

Rs fifty thousand my lord gave me
Saying "my Austin too is nor free
So dear without any hesitation
Take it n go to any other city.
To see your comfort is my duty,
To hide truth you take precaution".

A coquette and society girl Rita was
So for no one there was any cause
To notice Ritas' sudden disappearance
From the society using prudence.
It was the secret only between
My lord and me, her death who had seen.

For a while were together
Two Tiny streams.
They adored one another
Having different dreams.

One flowed and expanded
A beautiful river was made.
Other alas was compounded
And stagnated in a pond.

The charms of the river
Day by day were lovelier
And they earned laurals
From here and there.

Enticed by these charms
The pond then left its' trance.

EPIC OF LIFE-1

The omnipresence of ocean felt at Ganapatipule
The aggression on tides on shore for confluence
Of the sea, ordained by the Almighty, with the soil
Imprints on our soul,oh lord, a sublime influence.

The greyish silky sand with minute granules
Spread on the beach  in too thick layers
Housing prawns, crabs n what not in their holes
Shining in sunlight as an expanse of silver.

Life long penance of palm trees on the slopes
Alongwith mango trees guarding the beach
Are also spectators and they set-up the pitch
For galloping tides, in pledging to elope.

Chirping of the birds sets in the dawn
Melody of nightingale reminds night bygone.
The mist shields for a while the vast expanse
Of sea water which may be longing in a trance.

Enticing however is the roaring of the surfs
And the glittering tides in rays of infant sun.
Celestial is the melody produced by the collusion
With rocky shores by thundering surfs.

The Yawning Solitude

Though being circles by pretty companions
And to a fun laughing with a friend genuine
Banish I can not the solitude of the mind
To pieces my mental pain I can not grind.

So called a virgin I am by this time,
In the whores of beauty too a leaf is mine.
But unlike any other I wish by my heart
Not to attract any youth, a dandy or smart.

Adolescence is beautifier of all the virgins,
Virginal beauty is compared with a flame
Being disastrous, perishing hearts of young men
And equally scorching the heart of the virgin.

Scorched mind preserves ashes of memoirs
In its midst can reside only solitude yawning.

The Chieftain

Neither a soldier nor a sailor,
Not either an airman or a godman.
To no outfit of an army he belongs,
Yet to be called a chieftain he longs.
Neither he is wealthy nor a beggar
His command is full of poor hawkers.

Misled you shouldn't be by his barking
On his charge, while the day is breaking.
Torrents of harsh words as also abuses
Flowing from him may tempt you to guess
Of his nature as a cruel and sadist,
Oh no! he is a noble hearted methodist.

Embodiment of Karma Yogi appears
Performing duties with state of the art,
And the barking a part of his tradecraft
For leading a contingent of hawkers
Who fetch you morning news papers
For a pittance for ages and ages.

He reminds me of the Miller of the Dee
Always doing hard work that too with glee.
Herding his naughtyhawkers sternly,
Even while abusing them he is jolly.
Though a treasure he is of common sense,
He is not learned in the worldly sense.

Master craftsman of inter actions,
A luminary knowing all transactions
Of human mind, he is capable to employ
Them for generating untainted joy.
A lot of money he may not posses
His simplicity rules over the riches.

When Tranquility Rules

One has to play innings of life
Ample joy be there or be full of grief.
As a river flows the life in any way,
Deep n calm or be in a spate it may.

Youth enables to enjoy all the tides,
Captivating life with joy and grief.
Advent of the evening though may chide
Shaking the soul for a moment brief.

Ups and downs faced in the life
Ought to unravel meaning of life
Enabling to take life in its stride
Like a Sthitpradnya and a being refined.

Joy n sorrow then lose their meaning
When qranquility rules over the evening.

Celebrations

Not failure, low aim is crime
Big bangs too produce unique chime.
Blank can not a life,s canvas be
With ample strokes of pains n glee.

Youth may pass nurturing aspirations,
Intensifying in the run all the emotions.
Hard earned knowledge may come to rescue,
Compelling to accept disillusoned ash,s residue.

Joy n sorrow, elation n agonizing pain
In which He has soused life of human.
Birth n death, two definite destinations
Opposite though are their own Celebrations.

Life is worth living inspite of all such odds
For the human, loveliest incarnation of God.

The Pause

Cursory glance of a wwilliwy dame
Pierced the heart and it did tame
Embodiment of valour and too brave,
A thunderous jolt to him it gave.

The chieftain ruled over the clan,
Bravery and prudence were the coins
Coveted by him alongwith celebacy,
Acquired from mentor, in legacy.

Service of humanity was his goal,
Strived for the same his inner soul.
Banished he had selfishness and greed.
In service of humanity joy he derived.

Gone with the wind were his resolves,
By her glance and a seductive Pause.
