Jack and I

Jack and I never met in Person
Jack and I did have the same mindset about one particular thing
There were no supporting roles in our one person show....
Life as we knew it was one private party, no invitations, no thank-you notes but a lot of decoration
Jack and I took advantage of everyone ; when we didn't have an advantage at all
Jack and I ended up on Life-Support, different states, different times, 
and years
Same Results
Maybe we had thought we were invincible; Jack did not resolve his differences, I did
Some people use the time they have wisely; Jack did for a year
Some person's have more time than other's-I met Jack's mother online
Jack and I have an uspoken bond
She told me Jack died from a drug overdose-I am here speaking for Jack.........................

Sorry to hear about Jack also. As a couple of lines say in my last poem, "From smoking, drugs and alcohol or any selfish thing - there's someone who will pay the price for what these habits bring." Whether it's the victim, family or friends, someone always seems tp pay dearly. The cost of fun is high. I try always to have fun without the things that harm and find that joy is much more worthwhile. I'm sorry for your loss...

I totally understand your point and am so glad that I have now been clean from prescrition drug use for 14 years....it was something that I NEVER want to return to. I Did not know Jack, but I was Jack......

Okay, now i understand the last line. Well, now i'm glad to know that the OLD Jack is dead. Drugs won't fix our problems any more than a band aid won't fix a dented fender on a car... Even legal drugs (pain killers) won't fix the "dent". Even though life continues to be unfair and we have many hardships, congratulations on moving forward to hopefully a more happy and joyous life.
