He
went straight to where Melissa was sleeping
She
was deathly pale but that always occurred
When
her astral projection was out of her body
She
had not returned when she was supposed
 
It
was obvious to him that somehow – trapped

the other realm she was restrained by somebody

Welcome

He
picked up the razor blade and turned

His
attention to the mirror and the white
Powder
on its surface – shakily he chopped
Out
another two long lines and picked up a bill
 
He
took a deep breath and was contented –
Once
more another few minutes of respite
From
this world so diseased and corrupted --

A Fresh New Beginning
 
 
The
sky was overcast porpenting doom

He
sat quietly alone in the gloomy room

 
He sat
at the table still playing with the ring
His
memories of the night flashed before his

Tired
and weary eyes that were still stinging
From
the tears he'd shed just after she'd left
He felt
instantly lonely and totally bereft
It had

The
sky was overcast porpenting doom

He
sat quietly alone in the gloomy room

 
He
sat at the window staring out into the rain
From
his vantage point he saw the clock and
Saw
that it was four in the morning and dark
She
had been gone for six hours after that
Dreadful
argument over – well over what
He
didn't want to think again – to embark
On
another history of her dalliance – hand
