Isle of Palms
From the downtown streets of the Walled City
Over that shaky span across the Cooper
Through the village of old Mt. Pleasant
Over the Intracoastal Waterway to Sullivan's Island we drove.
Our final destination was the Isle of Palms.
To the Windjammer bar, is where we went.
Our mission was to party and jam with no qualms
In the process we all happened to get a little bent.
The band played 'Wipe Out' and the crowd went wild to the song.
We all put our beer cans on top of our heads
As the drummer played madly through the throng.
Obviously some of us forgot to take our meds.
As the night dragged on, I walked out to the beach.
There was a gaggle of gals lifting up their feet.
One was a blonde who was a real Georgia peach.
I was not all there so we were not able to actually meet.
