Eclipse's Promise (from Bracelet of Hearts-Book 2)

When four years pass,
You'll come back,
As some new horror is about to attack.

In the abyss that isn't to far,
Though as black as tar,
I know you can see,
My dear Gracie,

You must find,
What you know is mine,
Glistening as a golden ray hits,
Surrounded by diamond bits.

Just a slightest touch,
Or a clutch,
It'll bring you here,
Without a gear.

And with a twist,
You'll be with the only one I have kissed.

This is my promise,
To the three,
Who have saved me.

Christmas Wishes (written with Chloe Labrie)

(This poem is for Robbie Yelle, from Chloe)

For Christmas wishes, I only have one.

I don't want a vacation under the sun.
I don't want the presents under the tree,
I only want you to be with me.

The snow is falling lightly,
 And Christmas is coming near,
But I don't want the presents that I may receive.

What would fill my heart with cheer,
Is you just being here.
When our love is matched with Christmas spirit,
There is just no way to cure it.

I don't need any twinkling Christmas lights,
Just you alone makes my holidays bright.

When you come around,
You'll have to keep my feet on the ground.
To make my perfect holiday,
I don't want you to stay away.

Please grant my Christmas wish,
Because you're the only thing on my Christmas list.

In the Corner of Your Eye

Something you know,
but do not notice.

As hidden and dark,
as a black lotice.

With temptation thriving,
and curiosity striving,
You must trust,
Who you wouldn't.

Shouldn't.

That one person could help you live...
Unless you ignore.

You might find the large, hidden faults of space and time,

In the corner of your eye.

In The Fear Of Silence

Something you cannot see,
Something you cannot hear,
Something that won't make a sound,
When it makes others drown.

Though it won't even move a hair,
It will kill you without despair, .
Tic-Toc goes the clock,
Until the thing strikes you dead.

When you peacefully lie in your bed,
It will strike you DEAD.

On They Fought

Upon the chains that held them down,
A fire was stoked, fueled by agony and injustice,
The fire to rid of the hatred in which they drown.

And the freedom came with such a promise,
That couldn’t be endured by the southern caucasians.
So Hayes ended the era of Reconstruction,
And the blacks still faced an unfair obstruction.

The men cloaked in white with their torches,
And ashen crosses laid in the grass,
No matter what class.
On they fought,
For the rights they were told of.

For the nonviolent, ML King preached,
Ever so closely the rights were reached.
They were attacked for being rebellious peacefully,
But on they fought.

Mrs.Parks did a deed that was ever so inspiring,
so the protests against bus transportation transpired,
Discrimination ended on the buses for good,
The act ever so cleverly planned by NAACP.
On they fought, just like Thurgood,
Did for young Brown.

The schools were ordered to be brought together,
Although they knew of the blazing weather.
For the Nine that were in Little Rock,
It was so much more than a transfer.
But it was a distasteful stock,
yet on they fought.

Young men that were as gracious as any other man,
Were punished for being at a counter.
Killed by the Klan when they were set free.

For Malcolm changes,
And Medgar’s death,
They stood like a titanium post in an ever growing tornado.

They were waterboarded and beaten,
But they continued their march.
Their spirits couldn’t be broken,
Their voices so outspoken.

For the generosity of Jonathan Daniels,
Who gave his life for the protection of the children he watched,
On they fought!

The Freedom Rides were brave and in peace,
But the explosions of fire were what awaited.
Little Ruby and her northern teacher,
Were still learning through the terror,
Through all the errors,
On they fought.

And the three men arrested for fighting in the movement,
Never saw the day after they were released.
Wallace held his post for segregation,
But he couldn’t stop the integration.

LBJ finally ended the fight by setting forth his acts of justice.
Those three laws changed everything,
They could now rest their bloodied wings.

From the sirens that lasted decades,
It took such effort to get the deserved rights.
From the red lines to the bombing that killed four little girls,
Their calls of desperation were answered,
On the eve of a new generation.

What? (goes with the Thing.1)

What makes you tick,
What makes you scream,
When things aren't always what they seem?
What makes you jump,
What makes you cry,

When someone says to go bedy-bye?
What makes you jolt,
What makes you run,
When I'm just having fun?

What makes you shake,
What makes twitch,
What is it about me that makes you itch?

Tick, scream, jump, and cry,
Until you go bedy-bye.
Jolt, run, shake, and twitch,
Because I think you have a itch.

Betrayal

There is an old saying,
About where your closeness should be laying.

I must say this,
It is not one to dismiss.

The bitter taste you might know,
Can also send an emotional blow.
The one that turns your mind around,
And makes your heart hit the ground.

If you know not,
I must give you a warning bell.

Watch the secrets you might tell.

Look and Listen

If you don't listen,
Why hear?
If
you don't look,
Then why see?

Our world is changing,
And our
hearts are banging,

Fantasy may be truth,
Reality may be fake,

...but who are we to say what's real,
Who's to say we made the wheel?

Secrets can be kept,
And for that we must be apt,
In seeking
what must be found,
Before it is ever drowned.

When Earth shifts,

And fantasy is true,
Reality a nightmare,

You must look for
faults,
See the changes,
Listen to the whispers,
Analyze it in your
head,

And keep your memories in tune,
... And keep looking at the
moon

Angel of Death

-NOTICE: DO NOT COMMIT SUICIDE! ! ! -

You dream of the blood that rips down your arm,
As much as you hate it,

It makes your heart warm.

You cry the tears you didn't know you had,
And your heart still isn't iron-clad.

Why you live,
You don't even know.

You're turning as pale as the winter snow.

Death likes to taunt you as you cry,
Why don't you sing a lullaby?

Fall asleep, little Angel of Death,
Before you have one last breath.

Don't keep up the act you always have.

Just close your eyes and feel the pain.
It might be the only thing that keeps you sane.

Bye, bye, little Angel of Death.
Close your eyes ans snap your neck.

Heaven will never be close to you,

Hell is the place you're driving to.

Kill

I'm tired,
I'm young,
I'm drowning just for fun.
Whenever I see you,
It reminds me of why I want to go,
and why I want to stay.

I've lost blood,
and that's why I acted like I was caught in mud.
I've gotten so used to pain,
it's the only thing that's keeping me sane.

It may seem like I'm tired,
and I am,
But not because I'm loosing sleep.

A towel can clean up my relief spill,
But what's the thing that won't let me kill?
