The foetus talks

Mommy please don’t end my life
Before it has officially started
Allow me to see your face
And experience the wonders of life
Am I not entitled to life?
Do I not deserve to pursue happiness?
You do not want me
And I understand your fears
But you can have me then give me away
I’ll be happy to be alive, if only for a day

You were given a chance at life
So please don’t take mine away
Before you make your decision
I ask you: what if our positions were reversed
What you want me to do?

Someday

Trying to escape from the land of poverty
But they won’t let me across the border
I am divorced from love
And married to sorrow
Life is a battle and I have armour
So survival keeps getting harder and harder
It’s like trying to win a race
While wearing concrete shoes
I am so low that even the bottom seems high
Success eludes me no matter how hard I try

Submerged in agony but still I dare to hope
Someday I shall have the things I desire
Someday the creator will answer my prayer
Someday I shall break free
And become the person I was born to be

Or I shall die trying…

Forgive me

I can still see the horrified look upon your face
As death took you from me
I remember the fear in your eyes
And the coldness of your skin
Now I have no reason to live
And death is the only thing to give
Someone who desires nothing
This feeling I feel
Is an emotion I cannot define
It all seems so surreal
And living only prolongs my agony
If only I had a pencil that could
Write the future and correct the past
A moment without you is like
Living forever without breathing

So forgive me for what
I am about to do
I will end my life
So that I may be with you…
