Never spoken, gentle such
Hope divine for want of too much
Still heart, bled dry, stories told
Cold eyes, stare dead, weary, old
Meek of soul, spine is bent
A lifetime of suffering.
His will is spent.
His head is light,
The sun is in his eyes.
His soul still bright
Soaring above it flies.
Tired sunsent, crawls to victory
And the last refuge
calls with all it's mystery
Sleep at last takes over his mind
And spreads a blanket.
Deep and in rhyme.
In dreams, he still swims
in oceans of time
And currents of whims.
Castles are the clouds,
The stars but jems,
Held, spoken, touched and broken
The gods he sees
Often hiding,
Behind the whisper of a dream
Or nightmare biding.
True dreams he dreams,
Of splendor ancient, and beauty such.
Few are born, still few chosen,
Blessed to be, Hypnos touched.
Never spoken, gentle such
Hope divine for want of too much
Still heart, bled dry, stories told
Cold eyes, stare dead, weary, old
Blessed of Dream, Dreamer bold
A king in his realm, even a God may grow old.

We walk together,
this last turn of the black spiral.
My Shadow and I,
And reach our journey's end.
While far away and above life still thrives,
Beneath, what we once were.
Lesser, broken...and faded imprints,
Of what was once living, breathing flame.
Tired legs, refuse to carry us ashore.
And so we fall...with hollow eyes ever gazing upward,
Looking for the wings that made us whole.

Clouds gather,
Shadows rise,
The hour deepens,
Time flies.
Seven Days,
And Seven Hours,
Seven Weeks,
And months of old.
Seven Ages, of an era gone
Come anon, The story goes.
Seven Seconds,
And Seven Fevers...
Risen, broken and now we hold.
Seven times you read this Rhyme.
Seven Minutes to the Midnight Road.
Seven Kings,
And Seven crowns,
Seven gilded thrones of Gold.
Seven goblets, Rich with mead,
And seven skulls for guests to see,
Bleached bone, and holding wine,
Of conquered enemies, in glory told,
Seven Gods, who rule this land,
Seven Demons, and the broken sword,
Seven gates, to keep the giants,
Seven paths to the Northern Road.
Seven beasts, Seven roars,
Seven deadly lords of lore.
Seven claws, and hoofs of stone,
Seven trees, to mark the fold.
Seven glades, and crystal rivers,
Seven moons, with blessings bestowed.
Lions, Tigers, Bears and Wolves,
Fox and Hawk, and the Stag yet bold.
Seven beasts, to rule the forests
Seven trails, to learn to hold.
Seven scents to the Eldest Road.
Seven spells,
And Seven Magics,
Seven Witches in hats and robes,
Seven Ingredients, in an iron pot,
Seven Laddles, to mix them so,
Seven Cackles, and seven glares,
Intruder, intruder, the whispers go,
Seven Eyes, that see me witness,
Seven Oaths of pagan lore,
Seven Warts, to mark their faces,
Seven curses to the Weirding Road
Seven Lords, of Broken Houses.
Seven Shields, on battered stone,
Seven Faces, and sunken eyes,
Seven Tabards, and the arrow holes.
Seven Castles, forgotten to time,
Seven Names, for the dust to hold,
Lastar, Anad, Seltar, Haman,
Broth and Belloc
And fair Gwendolyn too.
Seven Swords to mark the barrows,
Seven Graves to the Ancient's Road.
Seven Winds,
Whip up the banners,
Seven Mists and fogs of war,
Seven Heralds, And Seven spears,
Seven Armies, And tales of woe,
Seven Rivers, borne of blood,
Seven Heroes and the Doom they wrought,
Seven Deeds and Seven Tasks,
Seven Songs, sung on in lore,
Seven Years, the steel had clashed,
Seven Lives to the Warrior's Road.
Seven Paths,
And Seven Trails,
Seven Steps, and the one who walks,
Seven times the Bell has tolled.
Seven Meetings, before we go.
Seven Paths have I now led you,
Seven Ages for you to know,
Seven times I walk the Ways,
Seven times, I shall walk them so.
Seven Circles, and Seven Rings,
Seven Roads to the Eternal road.
The time is now,
The way is open.
The way was shut,
But the wheel has turned

Red seas, by red sand
Falling stars, in my hand,
Purple nights, velvet clouds,
Churning winds, rising howls,
Steps taken, forward, back
Paths chosen, white, black
Destinies burned, lives ended
Chaos crossed, a last sending
Beyond the years,
beyond the tears,
Returning at last,
To your embrace,
Familiar shores,
Familiar plains,
Familiar woes,
Familiar pains.
Fallings stars, in my hand.
Red seas, by red sand.
Anirudh Singh, 27 november 2011
Dare, I dream...
Of Summers green,
And starlit skies,
A spring seen,
Of winter's snow,
And tears unknown,
Shed in joyous, silent dreams.
Dare I grasp,
A mortal's clasp,
And live, as able,
Those years at last,
To Love and lie,
beneath your smile,
To hold you close, hold you fast.
Dare I seem...
In arrogant blood,
To laugh on thee,
O' Fates unjust,
And will, my will,
Beyond this mist,
And sail a future, hence unseen.
Dare I hope,
That futile hope,
And stand as tall,
Even in wrath,
Dare I wish,
On a broken star,
And lay bare,
the failings of my heart.
Dare I breathe,
that perfumed dream,
The musk your presence,
Shall eternally cast.
Dare I tempt,
The Gods, I must,
And face their judgement,
When I am dust,
Dare I cast,
My die in sorrow,
And blame the fates,
For my losses, tomorrow?
Dare I step,
That forsaken step,
And walk this road,
That I have followed.
Until I am, alas..
at that bitter end,
Where only I, could ever have been.
Dare I dream,
A fabled dream,
Of you and me,
Together to be,
Of ringing laughter,
A brighter past,
And bring the illusion, to everlast.
Anirudh Singh, 25 november 2011
Hear her roar,
in darker dreaming.
On moonshadow nights,
Red starlight gleaming,
Echoing, reeling.
Hear her whisper,
Songs a thousand and one,
Sway, if you can find it,
Rhythm, feeling.
The flow and the current,
Breathing eternal time's tale.
From ages past to rumored future
Her songs stll hail,
Ear to the wind,
You strain to hear,
Faint nothings,
from another year.
Until the stars like dust,
Burst and shimmer,
And the echoes of the wind,
grow louder, clearer.
Windsong true,
Breathe to me again,
Speak to me of mysteries,
And beats of rain.
Of deep places that still whistle,
That haunted tune,
forgotten by all,
Yet forgotten too soon.
Anirudh Singh, 25 november 2011
Bedded, binded, chained, imprisoned,
Broken, beaten and battered through.
But I am the fire said he,
And fire you cannot contain,
burst out did he upon the stones,
and all the bells verily tolled.
Like spring wind, sun kissed
Blessed twice he rose
And very nearly escaped as a cloud
Yet there was no escape,
Prisons cast in eternity, after all do hold.
Why must you torment me?
Begged he, and slipped
and slithered and fell
like sand through the cracks
Until the shadows cast him back
Like silk, he whispered promises old
And tales of the faerie as he was told
But naught will his powers avail
For Time itself is the oldest tale.
And I spoke to him, even though I knew I musnt.
Twin flame, brightshadow calm thy touch.
Not ready is the world for thy burning name.
Thine venomed chaos, silverbane
Rest and dream, be hypnos blessed
I give my eye to take the blame.
He wept then, as only Gods may weep,
Crying tears of eldritch flame.
Why must you chain me?
Why must you bind me?
Why must you enslave me?
Answer me father, has it not been fortold?
'Tis I who casts...
The die of, ragna - rok and roll.
Anirudh Singh, 25 november 2011
See I you as enemy mine,
Ancient hatreds of blood and kine,
See I you as enemy old,
Turned asunder with steel cold.
See these arms, and how they clench,
At the air between us with power bent.
A'Curse upon this passage yours,
Until the fated midnight hours.
Spit, I do at your fabled peace,
Your lies, your tales, your deciets.
No peace, between us enemies sworn.
only death and honor, Pride and scorn.
Avenged will be the slight of ancient days.
A deed to be chronicled in saga lays.
Ours shall be the end of ends to come.
When et'all our blades will be done.
Till bright the sun has dimmed at last,
your greatest age has come to pass,
And triumphed, high my lance still stands,
Held proud, held strong, in mine own hands.
This oath is upon me,
And all of my blood.
Until my line, is ashes and dust.
