Born in Virginia, Bill Cushing grew up in New York, attended school in Pennsylvania, began college in Missouri but quickly found himself back in Virginia and New York as well as Florida, Maryland, Texas, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico before moving to California in 1996. Earning an MFA in writing from Goddard College in Vermont, Bill now teaches English and focuses his energy on his wife Ghisela and 14-year-old son Gabriel. His poetry has been published in the Sabal Palm Review, genus & madness, the Onion River Review, Metaphor, he Brownstone Review and Synergy. He has also published interviews, book reviews and commentaries.
