The sacrament

Oh please do not let me forget who you are,
your face
lingering in my hollow eyes
that created barriers of glass
for the return of your barbaric ways
to crucify all that is left
of so called emotion.

Lesson number one,

do not feel anything.

When you have reached the stage of not feeling anything,

perhaps you could go down one of two paths:

1. become a psychopath
2. become a normal person of society.

Usually people of some importance in their towns merge between the two, the rest borderline on unwillingful self destruction but due to their innocence, carry on in a some what sublime happiness, although so their photos on the internet seem to express.

And so here is my poem for you to actually address.

God bless us, bless us
all big and small
and may he see
what a beautiful creation we all are
for we have forgotten
and we are not allowed to recall
no we have placed our souls away
and stand firm on an invisible mans stall

no fear
no love
no down below or above

no nothing.
nothing.
nothing
nothing.

So are we all content with our success?
finally we can keep the secrets at rest.

I thank you for musing me
with your observations.

Who am I today?

I shall wait for you tell me.

And i shall wait for you all to tell me my next move.

So smooth your heart beats with the rhythm of nothingness.

Soon i will be on the same line,
an emotionless carcass, dead and blind

trampling in the foot steps
of all the great others
the ones before
the leaders
who are dead.

No leaders live today.
So all we can do is pray.

pray that something out there has heard our cries
like islam tries
five times a day

For when all we are left with is nothing
all we have left is the will to pray.

HIP HIP HORRAY!!!!!!!!

George Krokos,

Hi Portia, I have just read your poem and don't actually agree with what you're saying about not feeling anything. If you can't feel any love or devotion towards That which you pray then why pray at all? Or are all your prayers for nothing and in effect empty. I don't really want to be the one to tell you this but the poem is flawed grammatically also unless I am mistaken and you have intentionally written it that way. In the lines "I shall wait for you tell me." should read "I shall wait for you to tell me." or perhaps "I shall wait for you so tell me." Also: "Soon i will be on the same line, an emotionless carcass, death and blind" I think the word 'death" should be spelled as 'dead'. Also: For when all we are left with is nothing all we have left is the will to pray. If when all we are left with is nothing how can we, or anybody for that matter, have a will left with which to pray? Regards

Blossom Sol,

Thank you so much for taking an interest within the subject matter. This poem isn't to do with God or who I pray too. This is about the reality I live in, in which although I try to consistently express love, I keep learning that to survive in the world of man you must be emotionless! I usually write poems when I am not happy hence the dramatic negative effect! You are right about the death being dead, I shall change it now, thank you :-) The entity i'm waiting to tell me who to be today line is not God but people itself telling me how I feel or should feel and be! And I meant 'nothing' as in nothing in the physical world in which the one thing left is our divine connection with God through prayer, which most do not realise until the physical has disappeared hence why most people with nothing are more religious perhaps? I'm so glad you took an interest though :-) I shall read your poems!
