A warrior

I was thrown on this battlefield
A year and half now
And battling my way through

Like a warrior I want to fight
Life’s battles one by one
And see that he looses
And I be the winner
Which, I will for sure and certain,
One day!

Valentine day is round the corner, I say
I have no one to enjoy this day
Bitter sweet memories I have
Greatly cherished are they
Yearning for my loved one
Only I can tell
Really of how much I miss him today!

January rains

On Friday
The weatherman said watch out for the rain
The sun fighting to come out and shine again
But it never rained
Then late evening as the wind blew across
The emirates
Light thunder and the storm came in with rain
It the rained the whole night
Could hear the pitter patter on my window pane
But when I woke up there was no rain
The day was cloudy with no sign if the sun
The roads were full of puddles
And you could tell it rained.

Today it is very cloudy cold and dark
The weather stands at 17 degrees
For it’s 8:10 am and there is no sun at all
Heavy clouds hang in the sky
Ready to fall any time of the day!

Memories of my first date

As a another goes by,
Memories both sweet & sad come to me,
I stumbled on small letter written by you
I trembled as I opened to read it
It brought a smile to my face
And a tear rolled down my cheeks
It was the first letter you wrote
Inviting me out on a date.

I went back to the time
And remember I was excited
But shy to go on my first date with you
My hands trembled as you took my hands in yours
And as you walked me to the rickshaw
That was waiting by the gate

My heart was thumping so hard
And I was afraid that you would hear
My heart beat
I was silent as we both said nothing
Then all of a sudden we spoke together
But just smile and stopped again

The Full Moon

It was 3 am and I had the moon
Shinning down on my face
The lovely moon that is so full in bloom
Throwing her shinning light on my face
Like my love who is up above and so full of love!

I know my love is now looking and smiling at me
And showering all his love down on me!
I felt his warmth through the moon rays
And I was talking to him
I prayed that the moon never went away
But alas it was dawn and time to welcome a new day!
