One tear fell ran down her face and he wiped her face dry

He tried to console her

Knowing that  her lips were just inches away from his

It was hard not to kiss her; that face; that skin

But he contained himself

As they listened to the waves come in, she put her head on his shoulder

And listened to their favorite song on the radio.....

Why did they have to be just friends?
