My mother's doll

I am my Mother's doll
She does my hair
And picks my clothes for me
I am my Mother's doll

Chained and unable to speak
What I do and think restricted
Glass eyes with hollow emotions
A pretty face but never smiles
A puppet of her will
Dressed in rich clothes
Silk, jewels, perfume, velvet
This is not what I need

Freedom is what I seek

I am my Mother's doll
Dancing to her rhythm
Singing to her beat
I am my mother's doll

Chained and unable to speak
What I do and think restricted
Glass eyes with hollow emotions
A pretty face but never smiles
A puppet of her will
Dressed in rich clothes
Silk, jewels, perfume, velvet
This is not what I need

Freedom is what I want the most

I am my Mother's doll
Strings made out of spider's silk
A doll house, my home and stage
I am my Mother's doll

Looking out the window
The changes of season
The changes of weather
Books I keep hidden
My freedom is coming
A puppet I will be for the last time

I am my Mother's doll
This is the last act
No heroes or princes will come for this damsel
I am my mother's doll

Freedom I am brewing

I am my Mother's doll
A potion i made
A drop to her cup
I am my Mother's doll

Looking out the window
The changes of season
The changes of weather
Books i keep hidden
My freedom is coming
A puppet I will be for the last time

I am my Mother's doll
the reaper has taken my mother
I am free, the stage is on fire
I am no longer my Mother's doll

I Am Free.
