Redemption is not an easy thing. It is an epiphany. You may feel it close by, but until it thinks you're ready, you'll never see it. It may sneak up on you and leave you feeling guiltily empty inside. It may gently overtake you with a charming smile and make you feel light and buoyant. It may take your hand and walk with you for a while unnoticed and then, one day, you'll turn and realize that it was there all the time,just waiting for you to turn your head. It may embrace you like an old friend and bring up those nostalgic memories and emotions. It might wash over you like a July thunderstorm making you feel clean and making the air lighter, easier to breath, and making you more comfortable in your own skin. No matter how redemption overtakes you, it will undoubtedly cause a fundamental and inherent change within you. And you will be better for it.
