I remember the day you came into my life
I remember the joy you brought along
Your tiny feet, and your tiny fingers
I remember the twinkle in your eye 

I saw you stand up on your tiny feet
and then I saw you sit down with a thud!
I saw you throw your hands up to catch
the fairies that flew around your head.

I remember the first words you said
I remember the first steps you took
I remember your favorite cartoon
and I remember your favorite food too.
 
You getting dressed and running to school
I remember you crying not wanting to go
I remember you bunking your college
I remember you asking for more pocket money too

It was only yesterday when you couldn't walk
and today there is not a moment you stop
How soon time flies, how soon days go by
Yesterday i held your hand, and today you hold mine.
