SPARKLE

Everybody owns a sparkle
You just have to find a sharpener
To let it shine
Even in the darkest night.

Show your sparkle
Accompanied by a laughter
So it can stay in the world
Even after you forever.

BROKEN HEARTS

Hearts are meant to be broken
Like rules are meant to be broken
And if rules are meant to be broken
Why doesn’t anybody break this rule
That hearts are meant to be broken.

Everybody has a broken heart
Decorated like a beautiful craft
Craft gets broken when it falls
Have you seen a heart bouncing like a ball?

In a world full of broken hearts
Each one tries to hide its torn part
They hide and hide and it goes on
This world is full of thorns.

One day as a spark
Something ignites a broken heart
Like a reincarnation
This world is again full of inspiration.

FORGOTTEN MEMORIES

So many things went by
As the time passed by
We moved to different directions
In search of our perfections.

I moved a step ahead
You left my one hand
You took a next step
I left your other hand.

In this way we moved along
Looking for our own song
Never realized what we did
We planted that magic seed.

By the time a plant came out
We had already broken up
It was waiting for its owner
We had lost our phone numbers.

Every time our phones ring
All the empty calls we pick
We look at that snapshot
And cry for the broken pot.

Somewhere in the middle
Comes the life’s riddle
We pretend to be pleased
Our emotions remain unreleased.

Never thought the way it would be
Always imagined how it should be
Walking with heavy eyes
And a heart full cries.

Anyhow we accommodate a fake smile
On our faces that goes on for a while
Returning to those days in mind
We forget all the pain inside.

We still want to see
Our hearts to be free
Yet waiting for one another
Apologies that come one after the other.

Some things remain incomplete
No matter how long it has been
Or someday they might get complete
No matter how far you’ve been.

THE RIGHT WRONGS

Entangled between all the right wrongs
Leaving for a journey that will go on
Can’t see the path ahead
Feeling as if I’m falling in a deep well.

Not able to figure out
What did I do wrong?
Unable to shout aloud
Thinking about all my faults.

Did I judge myself wrong?
It has been so long
I am getting all the time exhausted
Acting like a fake-hearted.

Taste of sugar
It’s getting bitter
And the state of mind
Is getting unsound.

Taken aback by a force
When I was just near the shore
Alas! I have lost my way
Bur it’s not where I’ll stay.

I’ll find it once again
No matter how heavily it rains
I’ll reach there anyhow
This is what I’ve decided now.

BLIND WORLD

We’re seeing everything with blind eyes
And judging everyone with closed eyes
We don’t realize the broken dreams
And the path that should be seen.

We listen with deaf ears
Move with an attitude of ‘who cares’
We say only words like ‘I’ and ‘me’
We don’t talk, we chatter.

By saying humans have become animals
Why insulting animals
Humanity is confined only in a few hearts
Is anybody sure to find an ultimate cure?

ALONE IN MY HEART

I am so alone in my heart
Still confused the decision I made
Was right or wrong
As it changed my life
And their lives
Don’t know for good or wrong.

Now I’m living my life
Like a bird waiting
For the wings to come alive
Striving to survive
And living my life
Even near the hive.

And if you’d blame me
For this thing
I would tell you
And I would sing.

On that day
When I had to carry out my way
I looked back at you
But you did not say.

And when it was time
To say goodbye
You came before me
With wet eyes
And your face said everything
To my eyes.

But when I came back
The things were changed
It was too late
As you had already made your way.

I moved along
The path I had come
With the memories of us
Losing in the particles of dust.

But they are with me in my heart
And yet I’m so alone in my heart
Waiting for you to come
And take me along.

MY IMPERFECTIONS

I can’t help the way I am
You have to accept me as I am
I admit I am not perfect
Oh! My imperfection, I love it.

Trying to change me
Don’t you dare
I come with a warning label
‘Handle me with care’.

Sometimes I tend to lose my discretion
Also, I drown in deep depression
I know I act like a child
Why do you care? After all it’s my life!

I don’t want to be a duplication
I am happy being a treasure of imperfections
I have my own way of living
If you can’t get it, you don’t fit in.
