Why Can't We Grow?

I'm so broken,
Blood on the floor,
Hate so outspoken,
I can't take anymore.

Why'd you go?
Why'd you leave?
I love you so,
But you hate me.

I'm trapped in here,
My personal hell,
Surrounded by fear,
What's real, I can't tell.

It's so dark,
So bleak, so black,
This world's so stark,
Please, please come back.

You're through with me,
That, I know,
Why can't you see,
Why can't we grow?

Prince of the Dark

He lurks in the shadows,
To never be heard,
His voice in the gallows,
He says not a word.

He is Prince of the Dark,
With his secretive reign,
Upon his twilight-ark,
Full of sadness and pain.

He would not cause harm,
Nor harass the weak,
With a hand on an arm,
One to help he doth seek.

He is dead to the world,
Blank in face and in heart,
His plans won't unfurl,
His words are too tart.

He arrives in a wink,
Knowing not where he's been,
And in another blink,
He is gone again.

My Hope I'll Confess

I can't begin to explain,
Why I feel this way.
When I walk into a room,
I can't help but think of you.

Eyes are useless to me,
'Cause you're all I see.
I'm completely blind,
But baby, I don't mind.

My ears are useless, too,
'Cause all I hear is you.
I know others speak,
But their voices are weak.

My hands twitch to and fro,
Your body they want to know.
They hang by my side,
As day by day goes by.

My voice makes not a sound,
When you come walking 'round.
I wish I could speak,
To make you notice me.

I am so ashamed,
'Cause you don't know my name.
I'll just carry through,
Waiting for you.

Sometimes I feel,
Like you don't want me in.
So many layers to peel,
Like every movement's a sin.

I'll dance and I'll dance,
As I ask you the question.
I'll prance and I'll prance,
'Round your answer's procession.

I hope you'll agree,
My hope, I'll confess.
That you'll go with me,
Oh, that you'll say yes.

My hope is not blind,
My hope is a beast.
My soul and my mind,
On them, my hope feasts.

Just to See that Bright Smile

Every time,
I'll be there.

What you can't,
I will bear.

I'll lift you,
Off the dirt.

Every time,
You get hurt.

I'll go there,
I'll go here.

All the time,
I'll be near.

For you,
I'll give my life.

So you won't,
Have any strife.

Where you go,
I'll walk any mile.

Just to see,
That bright smile.

You

You,
You make me feel,
Like i'm on top of the world,
Up here.

You,
You make me dream,
About the best things,
That could happen to me.

You,
Come running through,
Take all the pain away,
Like you always do.

You,
Shine so far,
When you smile,
I can't see the stars.

You,
Wear red-gold crowns,
Upon your head,
And they flow down.

You,
With eyes green-blue,
Gaze into me,
What do you see?????

You,
Heart made of gold,
In what you do,
Pure joy unfolds.

You,
I see your face,
And can't hold back,
From your grace.

You,
When you walk by,
I turn from you,
So you don't see me cry.

I,
Come stumbling in,
I almost die,
When i look at you again.

I Wanna Write You

I wanna write you,
A poem,
That is felt true,
And known.

One that is,
And always will be,
A kind of bliss,
To you and me.

One to make,
In a good way,
Your heart ache,
Your mind sway.

One that could,
Without any doubt,
Make you feel good,
All throughout.

One that will,
Brighten your day,
On the darkest hill,
In the best way.

One to speak,
And sing to your ears,
And make you weak,
In your strongest years.

One by the fire,
Played with love,
Upon the lyre,
Pure as a dove.

One with heart,
And full of wonder,
A perfect art,
Without a blunder.

One we'll call,
And call again,
Down the hall,
To calm the din.

But,
I'm not a poet,
So i'll strut,
And you'll not know it.

That Night

In the early morn,
We hear the horn.

And as we rise,
It slowly dies.

And as we prepare,
For what no man would dare.

And as we charge,
Upon that barge.

And as we yell,
Right into Hell.

They brandish their swords,
Those unholy hordes.

They raise their flags,
Those putrid Hags.

They smile and sneer,
As we draw near.

They scream and bellow,
Their eyes run yellow.

They rush our line,
With their painful whine.

And as we fight,
This glorious night.

We watched in awe,
At what we saw.

Upon an ivory stallion,
With a Holy Medallion.

He swung his sword,
Upon that horde.

And with all holy might,
Put an end to that night.

My Lady Fair

You are perfect

Your blue-green eyes,
Your golden-red hair,
Your hints of perfection ,
My lady fair.

You are perfect

When you smile,
No darkness is there,
You are mine,
My lady fair.

You are perfect

In the world around you,
You brighten the air,
You tear me apart,
My lady fair.

You are perfect

All your feelings,
You take to wear,
In a satin robe,
My lady fair.

You are perfect

In your eyes,
I see everything fair,
Yet you cry,
My lady fair.

You are perfect

In my head,
My defenses prepared,
You crush them to dust,
My lady fair.

You are perfect

I live for you,
To be in your air,
You push me away,
My lady fair.

You are perfect

You have all the good,
You have all the fair,
Yet you taunt me always,
My lady fair.

You are perfect

I'll end this with one last note,
I'll be out of your hair,
Just remember this,
My lady fair.

You are perfect

You dull the pain,
You dull the despair,
You dull the sadness,
My lady fair.
