Truly happy

Once full of sorrow
wishing there was no tomorrow
feeling sorry for my self
calling my life a living hell
then when I woke from
that horrible dream
I finally seen reality
this world may be
falling a part, it may be cold
it may be dark
but I have my love and our son
and together we can make
this world a little brighter
with our smiles and our laughter
we can shine through the rain
to heal some of the pain
the pain that I refuse to
ever feel again.
