All night it did rain… (Roundel)

All night it did rain, the morning was bright
while the sun shone with its power again
had an incredible serene kind of light;
all night it did rain,

with dark clouds coming over the mountain
covering it until it was out of sight;
as we did the last red champagne drain

our feelings was warm, passionate and right
and we were of each other very certain,
while through darkness we brought love to delight;
all night it did rain.
