The inner sanctum forever resolute
With unscathed walls everlasting
Amongst divine rays of light acute
Forged from memories allaying.
The inner sanctum forever blissful
With dulcet lullabies of sweet desire
Amidst rivers of love coursing graceful
Under a canopy of dreams to aspire.
The inner sanctum forever somber
With morbid melodies of eternal longing
Bounded to lakes of heart torn asunder
Alongside landscapes of deceit unrepenting.
The inner sanctum forever asleep
Constricted with veiled chains to confine
Consumed by endlessness to keep
The inner sanctum forever mine.

Through the dark, hovering sky of midnight,
Her imprint in mind’s eye cannot expel.
I always have my dusky star so bright.
My heart confesses on paper alight,
Where words of burning passion to her dwell,
Through the dark, hovering sky of midnight.
Beauty is defined anew by her sight,
Gave by divine fate that to her befell.
I always have my dusky star so bright.
Her dagger pierces through soul’s walls of might,
Sending fears and hopelessness to dispel,
Through the dark, hovering sky of midnight.
A dagger sharp as a sword of a knight,
Ringing through ears as a golden bell.
I always have my dusky star so bright.
Her voice assuages the soul into flight,
And only she draws me from being’s shell.
Through the dark, hovering sky of midnight,
I always have my dusky star so bright.
