As a another goes by,
Memories both sweet & sad come to me,
I stumbled on small letter written by you
I trembled as I opened to read it
It brought a smile to my face
And a tear rolled down my cheeks
It was the first letter you wrote
Inviting me out on a date.

I went back to the time
And remember I was excited
But shy to go on my first date with you
My hands trembled as you took my hands in yours
And as you walked me to the rickshaw
That was waiting by the gate

My heart was thumping so hard
And I was afraid that you would hear
My heart beat
I was silent as we both said nothing
Then all of a sudden we spoke together
But just smile and stopped again

As I sipped the drink I trembled
As I could see you watching me
I was nervous and shy
Dropped it in on my dress, &
I caught that smile in your eye

I was filled with emotions
For I must admit at the signs of love
Looked so clear
As if looking in a mirror.
In silence our hearts out spoke of love that
Happened all so suddenly
For that moment brought back so much for me!

Alas that was my first sweet love!
