nullity

under
the bridge thoughts flow
what should have been held back
to coalesce slide through open
sluice gates

over
the dam down to
splashes of lochan each
spit unconnected each
thought lost

fragments
floundering in
muddied marsh the graveyard
of recalls of water under
the bridge

look at
me my love you
go to leave me helpless
here unable to change places
with you

stay with
me longer love
slow the waters flowing
off my love for nothing compares
