Dark Melody

Burning in my heart a dark melody
The path obscured byfog and shade of tree
Terror grips me as I look down the trail
Dreading the consequences should I fail
I step forward in God's mercy and grace
Yearning so much to meet him face-to-face
As I try to move past fear's baneful sting
My dark melody I shall ever sing
