DANCE WITH SURPRISES

Twice or thrice today the rainbow shone after tender showers
Thrice or four times I'd seen a gang of white horses in the skies
The fifth time yet I count of the eclipse casting gentle blue light
As I pluck the sixth string on my little guitar's chest

I'd awoken this morning to a sparrows steady song
From a sweet dream in the snows, dancing with fairies quite so long
And in the tips of my fingers were placed the ten greatest stars
In the middle of each I engraved the image of your face

The sun gently closed its eyes as if a passing breeze it were
And the gentle showers start to drip again just as all day it did
Tonight...I dance with surprises
As I await the midnight moon to embrace you, oh mother of wonders

"Twice or thrice today the rainbow shone after tender showers Thrice or four times I'd seen a gang of white horses in the skies The fifth time yet I count of the eclipse casting gentle blue light As I pluck the sixth string on my little guitar's chest" i like how in this stanza you have alluded to prior knowledge of musical instruments... "The sun gently closed its eyes as if a passing breeze it were And the gentle showers start to drip again just as all day it did " this line is extremely emotive, i quite enjoyed it :)
