David Wayne Hampton teaches high school English and currently lives in the foothills of North Carolina, United States, with his wife and two children. He has previously published works in the Appalachian Journal and Appalachian Heritage, among others. His first collection of poetry, What Makes It Taste Better, was published by Maul & Froe Press in 2010.
