~Hope Remains~

Fading, sinking, falling
into the depths of your regrets
there's nothing left but apathy.
A frail sense of indifference
at the cost of your arrogance.
Tripping over words
stumbling before you, helpless-
because you're open and
constantly dropping into the void
you've decided to take the world head-on.

...But place your hand in mine
let's attempt the impossible
and paint the flowers
with reds and crimson blushes
stained with passion
breathing life into lillies
crushed by the weight of past decays
trapped inside doors of sober bliss
we'll seek the path to dwindle in peace.
What we find will become our
perfect deluded wilderness.

We hold the choice to breathe
the air and endure life,
surrender yourself now to
the grim lights of tomorrow.
When hope remains, you'll know this
-we will rise above!

Only to move, breathe, run
and fight again.
