streets are shimmering in anticipation
 
don’t
disappoint the day don’t
blacken
the sky with thoughtless emotions
you are
somewhere
absent
            minded
                         or
engrossed
                   in daily routine
 
quit it
 
step
       under
a ladder
walk on
cracks
 
tell your
boss you got urgent
business
like writing a poem
 
going for
a walk
 
anything
you like but fast
 
this
moment
the
streets shimmer
                  in anticipation
