Rift

Rift...adrift..grows,
For, so many broken vows.
A day...gloomy and grey,
Although, a Sun, bright and gay.
All bored, and busy...
All alone...within a family.
Millions surround,
Yet, my loneliness I flaunt.
Waking...working...sleeping,
Waking...working..sleeping,
..........................................
Waking...working...sleeping,
 And a disillusionment,
And a death bed.

Undefined

I, to myself, laugh,
What an irony it is! Your beauty unveiled!
What a lovable dame you are!
But I can’t fall in love!
Moments of intense patience,
Have I passed, only to see how beautiful you are!
Pandora’s Box is open, so is my feeling unbarred.
But how do I define this feeling?
I see you, on the other side of the road,
I smile and you blush.
I want to cross the road,
But there is no end to this traffic!
You wave at me.
I look! Your ride has come!
You wave again! But the traffic will never end.
You wave one last time....
I smile …. And say…Goodbye…..

Wasted introduction

You ask me who I am,
I am me, a worm,
“Can be seen by none” worm,
“Yuck! Step on the damn thing” worm,
“Crawling through earthly garbage” worm,
“Trying to wake the goddess of luck from her eternal slumber”
worm,
“Turning, twisting, wriggling my way though the gutter of
the society” worm,
“Escaping from a muddy, sticky hole, only to enter another”
worm,
Looking for a new bright sun on the golden horizon,
The usher of my good hope.

Freedom

Estranged by the brick walls
From the outside world,
I sit alone by my window.
I see only sunshine dripping through the bars,
And a blue sky beautiful and bold.
But I live in my shadow.
I seldom see a bird or two,
flying so high and carefree,
I wish I were one of them.
Inside my room old I grow,
moments being shed from longevity,
As I have lost a priceless gem.

The Impious

They stand on the top of the world.
They look down upon us, with those cunning eyes,
As sharp as a cleaver that cuts through your flesh.
Do they feel pity? Oh! So greasy words-to soothe your pain?
Or, to give you hope? Don’t be fooled.
Don’t you see the smirk! They will feed you,
The words of bright future, only to milk you dry.
Want to point your finger? Go ahead!
But pay the undertaker first,
To arrange a room six feet under.
What are you to them have you ever thought?
Mere zooplanktons to feed on.
They shook hands with Lucifer,
They walk the path of Faustus.
Rights? You want to talk about rights?
With them? Your words will never reach their ears.
They buy a nation and its future in the morning,
Only to sell it in the evening.
They raise impious wars on foreign lands,
Because battles earn them living.

I wonder how much a man needs,
To lead a simple life, and to raise a happy family?
I ask, Is the world not enough for you?
Truly only the soil of your own grave,
Can satisfy your hunger.

I still remember the day we parted

I still remember the day we parted, my love,
I still remember the day we went our separate ways.
You did not say anything,
And I did not ask.
But your teary eyes said it all.
Was our love so weak?
Could we not spend the rest of our days,
Together? Could we have not gone,
To the shore of the great ocean,
One more time, where we met for the first time,
Under the crimson sky?
No, our love was strong,
We parted because we loved,
We parted for the love of our mother land.
Your tears made me weak,
But your silence made me strong,
So, I left with a heavy heart,
Not as a coward but as a brave soldier.
Heaven cried that day,
As dews of your saddened mind,
Came down your snow white chicks.
But you said nothing,
And I didn’t ask.

Only to see you again

Oh lovely maiden!
My faraway, mystery land!
I've sailed the seven seas,
Fought vicious pirates,
Outran the roaring forties,
Calmed the mutiny and the sailor-men.
Survived the sunken ship,
Swum many a miles,
On to the shore and closer to you.
I then walked the sandy dunes,
Hungry and without water.
Sipped the dewdrops, and eaten,
Unknown fruits; coughed poisoned blood,
With blistered feet on rocky land,
I walked, ran and hid, from the mountain lion,
And walked again,
It was then, I saw you,
Like the fresh morning sun,
Bright but soft on my eyes,
Like the rain drops on the parched Sahara,
Or, like the sweet, cold water to a thirsty traveler.
You are my heaven on earth, my sweet home.
Come my darling dove, come,
Embrace me, kiss me,
Make me forget the pains I took,
Only to see you again.

Silence of the Shepherd

You said,''stop.''
And Silence came between us,
Like The Horsemen of the apocalypse,
The harbinger of the judgment day.

You said, ''stop.''
And silence came between us,
Like the scythe of the Grim reaper,
To take my Precious away.

You said, ''stop.''
And silence came between us,
Like The Mighty Excalibur,
As if to pass the rightful judgement.

You said, ''stop.''
And silence.....................
As if Medusa's curse turned me to,
A lifeless stone.

You said, ''stop.''
And silence.....................
It is like the Hammer of Thor,
That pounded my heart,
With frightful force.

You said, ''stop.''
And silence.....................
It is like The Susano,
that tormented my peaceful heart.

You said, ''stop.''
And silence.....................
It is like the deepest ravine,
That stands between You and I.

You said, ''stop.''
And silence.....................
It is like a thousand needles,
That puncture my heart,
with needless ferocity.

You said, ''stop.''
And silence.....................
It is like the endless absence,
Of your enchanting voice.

Silence................................,
It is a wooden box and Me,
Six feet under, in my very own grave.

Money Power

Money is power,
Money is might.
Don't give it away,
but hold real tight.

When it's dark,
it brings us light.
So, don't give away.
and hold it tight.

money buys food,
money buys peace,
please don't hate it,
but give it a kiss.

look at the poor,
you will be sure.
so don't hate it,
'cause it buys cure.

Go to the doc,
Say I am ill.
He won't treat,
'cause can't pay the bill.

Look around you,
Don't you see?
We can argue,
But none is free.

I see people,
With empty bowl,
Too much skinny,
too weak even to crawl.

Sweetest word,
Does no more matter,
Don't have money?
Then, Please! Scatter.

I love money,
And on it, I sleep.
Wonder how it's possible?
There's poor to reap!

Call your Jesus,
Or The GOD you call.
But money buys everything,
Thus feeds us all.

Money worshiper,
Call me so?
Who doesn't love it?
Who doesn't bow?

Love? I can't buy?
You make me laugh.
You must not be hungry,
To be able to love.

A Tribute to 'The Ball'

Assortment of colors,
Yellow outshining all.
Faces- old and young,
Ladies and Gentlemen.
Perhaps a ball is at hand?

Magnificent Wavy frills waist-down,
Shades of yellow playing hide and seek,
An ornamented gown,
Beautifying a charming Dame,
A Yellow peacock opens its tail!

Arms in lock,
Those fickle two eyes,
Searches where their loyalty lies,
Anxious to charm,
Or to be charmed?

Betrayed Attention,
In the stagnant air,
Of this ecstatic ball room.
Yellow intentions,
Gasping breath and already charmed.

Monsieur James Tissot,
Did you draw Madame Bovary?
