Equally

I know I need to take a moment to breath

because I look at that picture of you

and it's as if I'm staring at me.

In your picture I see those empty eyes that match mine.

The ones thar seem to say,

"I'm crying on the inside."

I want you to know that you aren't alone.

Never think you are on your own.

The true escape is not razorblades...

I know for I have made that mistake.

If only the earth could see that

there are other misunderstood teens that just want to be free.

You don't want to be excepted...

Just heard.

No one should hate us...

We don't choose to be this.

We are who we were from birth.

But people are too blind to see that we deserve to be treated equally;

they throw us to the dirt.

They laugh at the pain they put us through.

And call us 'freaks' when we have self-inflicted hurt...

They slaughter our pride

as if they want us to die.

In reality we are all one kind.

I am just like you.

You are just like me.

They are just like us...

We all have hopes

and we all have dreams.

We all need love.

We all have been shoved...

This hatred must stop.

If we can't love each other then the world must have been destined to rott?

I think not.

We must all just be tough.

Never give up.

It does get better.

There are places to turn when you feel like you are in a world apart.

Some people do still have hearts

and some people do understand that a woman can love a woman and a man can love a man.

Just because a person is LGBT doesn't mean they deserve inequality.

In a perfect world.

Little girls could be boys and nothing would unfurl.

But this is reality;

that's considered a sin to the closed minded.

In this world there is no such thing as Bi-sexuality.

Or for that matter,

anything but a straight teen in blue jeans.

But I won't let go of the fight

until I receive all my guaranteed rights.

There might be long days

and there will be sleepless nights

but you

and I

and he

and she

and L

and G

and B

and T

along with the queer and questioning

will forever be equals in the eyes of society.

Locked In a Kiss

Here I am another night,,
about to cry...
I'm wondering if I'm in the right...
I pick up a razorblade and it feels so wrong.
I'm cursing at myself for listening to these sad songs...
I know right now that your hands are on her hips
and she is on your lips...
That should be me,,
locked in that kiss.

You are the only one that I love but also want to forget.
I know how stupid I am in this moment.
I want to see your smile but it makes me want to lay down and die.

You are breaking my heart;
I'm falling apart... If there wasn't really a hello
then I guess this isn't really a goodbye
but it still makes a tear swell in my eye.
I've never felt this way about a guy..

Time after time, I try.
I reach out...
Despite my self-doubt.
I watch my heart get stolen
and watch my happiness grow swollen...
Then in a flash
the present becomes the past...
It was surely a wise man that said,,
'The good things in life never last'

I really love you more today than I did yesterday
but your ambivalence is something I can't take.
I don't think you understand that to me
this isn't a game.

God gave me life,,
you gave me love,,
and the world gave me pain...
You take two of these things away and add to one with every
'I love you' you speak to another name..

It really is a damned shame that you don't see that
I'd fight 'til the death for you
and before I died...
I would share my final breath with you...

Baby,,
I know right now
that your hands are on her hips
and she is on your lips...
But that should be me,,
locked in that kiss.
