Faith In Humanity?
(1/26/2015)
"In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes." - Judges 21:25, KJV
These past few years, I've been frequently hearing news about people committing some extremely unacceptable crimes. And whenever I hear a news like those, it becomes clearer to me how depraved we, the humanity, are without God personally and intimately guiding us and ruling in us.
Now, seeing our depravity, I honestly don't think that we need a restored faith in ourselves (you know - that "restored faith in humanity" thingy). I think what we all need is a restored relationship with God so that we can trust each other again.
So in response as a Christian, I would pray and my prayer usually would be something like this:
"Lord, see what we have done? See how evil we, the humanity, have become after rejecting You? Lord, restore us! We need You!"
