Poem: For the Birds

To some people, birds are
nothing more than eye candy;
to others, a vital part of
Earth’s ecosystem; how far

should one go to study them
in detail? Between exotic
mating rituals and building
skills, what unseen gems

can we observe? The Father
feeds and cares for all fowl,
even though they don’t sow,
reap or gather; why bother

trying to interpret His plan,
when His methodologies rise
up, beyond our ability to see?
Does He reveal Himself to Man

with genius, creativity and by
the majesty of the Heavens?
Of course, He does! Why else
do we raise our hands, sigh…

and purpose to praise Him?

Poem: Clinging to The Cross

I’m dearly clinging to The Cross
of Christ, as though this Life
depends on it; with these empty
hands there’s no gain, but loss

since Salvation can’t be earned.
The vanity of accomplishments
and earthly achievements mean
nothing, seeing that it’s burned

up within the crucible of works.
My Hope remains in Christ alone
and the commitment of His Word;
I’m not motivated by a knee jerk

reaction to lies from His enemy.
Therefore, I’ll remain vigilant,
confident and sober, knowing that
on Christ, I will always rely!

Poem: Heart and Soul, Warmed

My heart and soul, warmed
by Yahweh’s Love, finds its
motivation to quietly move
in a manner that’s pleasing
to Him; since we’re formed

after His image, He knows
us best and intimately; we
in return, love Him because
He first loved us; His Word
reveals Himself… to those

who actively seek Him; we
know that He’s not a Man,
that would lie- so we can
learn to believe, to trust,
to praise and begin to see

Him with true, spiritual eyes,
so our spirits soar and rise!

Poem: Not In Haste

Waiting on Yahweh is
an effective binding
of our soul to His;
will this Life’s quiz

be clarified within…
our identity in Christ?
We’re human beings, not

Haste makes waste; can

Poem: Morning’s Dawn and Dew

With morning’s dawn and dew,
the blades of wet grass beckon
unto me, to cleanse… soiled
soles; as I stride across the
silence of greenery, wondrous
sparkling of unknown diamonds
mesmerize my gaze; the wealth
of my existence is enhanced,
as I envision Christ, before
His disciples, bent over their
feet… ready to humbly serve.

SECOND CHANCE
When God came calling face to face
In a fatal circumstance,
Breast to breast in His embrace,
He promised me a second chance
To let me ring the morning in
And dine on dawn and dew,
My running feet to press and bless
The grass I'm passing through,
The potent wine of joy to flood
Like a bubbling spring,
Warm hosannahs in my blood
That make me want to sing.

Poem: Unseemly Faith

The ugliness of unseemly Faith
serves as an undesired deterrent
and stumbling block to the lost;
as our moral strength is spent,

we’re more apt to be watched!
The enemy will pounce as a lion,
wanting to kill and to destroy
our Hope; there’s no use trying

when the challenges to humanity
range from Life to Death. We must
rise up and strive to do good;
real Faith requires us to trust…

in the Holy One, Who sent us.
Therefore, let us live boldly!
Let’s run into the daily battle
and enjoy that we’re made holy!

Poem: Carrying Our Sins

It is not our responsibility,
to be carrying our sins daily;
Christ took them upon Himself
for our benefit, whereby we can
move beyond… our fallen nature.
Success isn’t based on ability,

but on our reliance upon Yahweh!
Repent from wickedness; cry unto
Him, Who saves; study and apply
His Word with diligence; ask for
divine wisdom; trust Him and gain
unimagined peace; His loving sway

reinforces the subtle and genuine
reality of a relationship with Him.
We have been instructed to choose
Life; a final death sentence awaits
us, if we ignorantly or unwittingly
insist on… carrying our sins.

Poem: Another World

We are being prepared
for another world- one
that we can’t imagine;
the future will scare

some people with fears
unknown; being forced
to trust an unseen God,
to get over the tears

of a lifetime of pain…
seems to exceed human
comprehension. Life can
change us; we will gain

experiences that stretch
us beyond our comfort. He
wants our companionship,
to partner with wretched

souls for His utmost glory.
Now there’s another world,
waiting on our appointed
arrival… to join His story

and bask in His Presence.
We’ll observe wonders that
will amaze us, including…
the pure, eternal essence

of Who, Yahweh is!

Poem: Tethered Lambs

When it comes to our Christianity,
we’re to be like tethered lambs;
ready to die for our Faith, while
displaying grace, love and humility!

Though we’re surrounded by wolves,
our Great Shepherd can keep us safe
in green meadows, under His watchful
eye; it’s usually from ourselves…

that we require the most protection.
Nothing can separate us from Yahweh
and His right hand; therefore, let’s
offer genuine praise for Salvation

Poem: Failures of Self-Righteousness

The primary failure of…
self-righteousness is that
you become your own god;
besides fouling true Faith,
you’ll never walk in Love,

since you’ll be the center
of a personal firestorm;
you’ll choose to manipulate
others for satisfaction or
gain; as a human tormentor,

you’ll never possess a peace
that’s real or everlasting.
All attributes of character
and humility will dissipate;
unable to discover a release

from Life’s miseries, you’ll
become so isolated, that the
numbness of your spirit will
unwittingly beckon Death’s
realm to be…  the solitary fuel

of your own destruction.

Poem: Spiritual Earthshine

Are we not to be the…
faint illumination of
Christ, reflecting Him
with actions of Love?

As terrestrial beings,
we’re continually mired
by an encasement of clay;
can our Faith be fired

up by our relationship to
our eternal Lord and Savior?
Fake Christianity will be
revealed in poor behaviors

that can be recognized by
anyone; as human candles,
Faith can shine brightly.
Avoiding personal scandals

is achievable, when we’re

Poem: Unknown Future

We can trust an omniscient God,
with our unknown future, since
He transcends… Time’s boundary.
Though we remain humanly flawed,

we can possess a real Faith in
One, Who doesn’t lie, deceive or
tries to manipulate us. By using
our breath, we maintain within

soften His heart with our words;
as we pray, with an attitude of

Poem: Circle of Inclusion

A poor perception of Christianity
is the ongoing failure of the Faith
to treat all people evenly within…
a circle of inclusion; who will see

past the shortcomings of humanity,
in order to spiritually grow? Ideas
of our accountability, accompanied
by genuine, personal responsibility

dictate that we treat every soul
in the same manner of Love, without
thoughts of the trivial attributes
that separate us; under the control

of God’s Kingdom, we remain equals.
Since we’re supposed to serve one
another, shouldn’t we help everyone
with a mandate to perform God’s will?

Poem: You, the Moon and Me

Like me, even that shining moon
occasionally weeps, as we spend
time remembering you; moments
of nostalgia creep into our times
of dreams and wistful thinking.
And yet, there is a vast emptiness
that stirs our spirits.

We sorrowful souls, sob throughout
the night; the coldness of dawn
crystallizes our tears into
the morning dew and its beauty
encourages us… to cry even more.
How can we bear the loss of you?

The arid ground, greedily absorbs
our sadness without visible remorse.
Forgotten and lifeless cobwebs,
with their torn threads, now adorn
the empty landscape that marks
the boundaries of our separation.

Your absence is deafening; the moon
and I discuss ideas about the taste
of your salty tears, that you shed
from mourning our shattered union.
However, the moon remains unerringly
quiet, regarding the time, you two,
spend together! And I’m left with an
impression of unresolved jealousy.

Will you two… silently lament the
isolation of our three aching hearts?
Oh wait; why are there distant sounds
of laughter, reverberating under this
new moon, while these tears of mine,
resume its unwanted flow?

Poem: Prayer of Repentance

God is aware of the ugliness
of our sin; not confessing to
Him, ensures that misery will
replace our joy; seriousness

of the Human condition should
not be an excuse that keeps us
from reaching out to Him in a
prayer of repentance. Could

to define us, when forgiveness

We need to stop setting goals

on the foolishness of our fears;
Human expectations, dumb notions

Poem: Empty Rhetoric

The words of empty rhetoric,
don’t impress the unsaved;
Love requires real actions
of Faith; one day, a grave

will contain soiled remnants
of how, we were perceived;
the memories others recall,
are what they often received-

by the witness of our lives.
Before men, we’re justified
through our works of Love;
yet, it’s Christ crucified…

that serves as the impetus
behind our true motivations;
He’s the standard for living
and grace against damnation

of our eternal souls.

Poem: Without Agendas

Loving people, without agendas
of hidden motives, is what God
desires from us; if we’re not
authentic, then we are frauds

who lack value… to His Kingdom.
Without the pureness of a heart,
that’s inclined towards Him, we
have nothing tangible to impart

to those, who fail to discover…
their sacred identities found in
Christ, a Savior, Who loves them.
Within Humanity, we’re children

who need to teach others… about
the divine connection and scarlet
thread that binds us together;
we’re a bride and not some harlot

selling herself, to gain attention
for the merits of His Salvation.

Poem: Hold On, Pain Ends (HOPE)

As long as we choose to move forward,
we can find the inward strength to…
hold onto our Hope; pain ends, when
we look to Christ and His Love for us.
Therefore, let’s adjust our backward

thinking, by cleansing our thoughts
with the beauty of His Holy Word; as
we begin to trust Him and apply Truth
to our lives, positive results occur.
Are we gambling, rashly casting lots

for ungodly outcomes to succeed, based

to be patient and rightly divine God’s
Word? What will it take us to remain,
in His sight… pure, holy and chaste?

Poem: Trencherman

Eating and drinking, to excess
is an insalubrious proposition;
our gluttony greatly epitomizes
the selfishness that consumes us

when we’re blinded… by our lust.
Our poor behavior demonstrates
the foolishness of our flesh; if
we’re failing to ultimately trust

Him, then we’ll sow the seeds of
destruction and reap the ungodly
results, which may include death.
Despite our mistakes, His Love

Poem: Punishment and Pain

Isn’t it time, that we stop crying,
for deliverance from circumstance’s
punishment, when we really should
be begging to be freed from our sin?
His Word teaches us that escaping

the results of ‘Sowing and Reaping’
is not feasible; our given ability
to reason, isn’t diminished when…
we have the Hope of Christ within.
Instead, we ought to be willing

to end production of needless pain
towards our God; anxiety and fears
prevents us from pushing forward in
victory, although we’re working and
striving towards… a worthwhile gain.

Poem: Remaining Sin Conscious?

Though we’re forgiven sinners,
saved by His Grace, we should…
accept the sacred precept that
we’ve been made a new creation
and not spiritual beginners,

who are wallowing in the past.
Are we remaining sin conscious
and not focused on glorifying
Christ The Son and His Father?
In God’s image, we’ve been cast

to shine brighter… than stars,
with Christ’s essence emanating
from our Life and Love for Him!
Can we repent at a deeper level
and recognize that we’re jars

of human clay, who are broken
for His plan and purpose? He
strengthens, sustains and leads
us; therefore, let’s rise up;
into our hearts, He has spoken!

Poem: Applying Practical Faith?

For us, Faith is applying
His Truth and trusting in
Christ. So trust Him and
Faith grows with His Truth.

Knowing His Word, can show
us… what can occur. Without
Christ, nothing can carry
us through… to Salvation.

Can anything stop us? Will
Man stop on his own? Why do
folks worry on a daily basis?
Can or should individuals

do what is right continually?
Milking our situation for pity
is a sad way to push forward.
Will Christ light our way, if

Faith is always lacking? Why
should God assist us? Christ
is motivating us to go towards
Him; without spiritual aims,

nothing significant may occur.

Poem: Tears Into Joy

We’ve been freed from the captivity
of our sinful, blackened hearts;
The Lord has changed our tears into
joy and thankfulness; can’t we see

that we should be rejoicing everyday?
Yahweh reigns supremely over Zion
and our humbled bosoms; He’s provided
His Word; with The Spirit, His sway

encompasses our own with utmost peace.
Within our souls, His seeds of Truth
have been planted; His Presence waters
our existence; His purpose is released

as we go forward… progressing in Faith!

Poem: Spiritual Abstractions

People are funny creatures, who seem
unsure about the poetry, that I compose;
their lack of understanding implies that
my poems are nothing, but a series of…
spiritual abstractions. Unable to gleam

the enduring Truth of Yahweh, with eyes
of Faith, they ignorantly dismiss claims
of what God has done in Love… for them!
Without Christians demonstrating how to
live properly, their spirits won’t rise

up and see the need for a relationship
with Christ; if we’re not enjoying some
personal victories ourselves, then our
effectiveness is… obviously diminished.
We should be content, bound in fellowship

with Christ and energetically living out
our Faith! Moral regulations don’t draw
people to God; however, His joy within
us does; let our Faith be strong, vibrant
and visible, whereby people shed doubts…

of Who, God is and why He’s worthy of praise.

Poem: Dissections of My Soul

How will I be perceived,
after my passing? Will
dissections of my soul
be realized from the…
poetry I leave behind?
Will anyone really care?

Can my experiences… be
defined separately from
Faith’s spiritual Light?
Will I be imagined to be
a fraud, with regard to
the principles of God?

By the time I’m noticed,
by those intentionally
choosing to rightly evaluate
my literary worth, their
opinions are a moot point
to my current existence.

After all, my personal bias
show be evident within my
compositions; perhaps, when
I bowed before my Maker, I’ll
know the real truth of myself.
Before Him, it won’t matter,

since I’m still loved.

The waves of new revelation
are softly overflowing me,
when I’m desiring to see…
myself as part of a nation

that’s birthed for eternity.
Faith allows me to envision

Poem: Atonement

Mankind’s genuine Life is found
in the blood, not in the heart,
nor in the mind; the guilt of sin
leads all to Death. As His blood
ran down onto Golgotha’s ground,

The Lamb’s atonement was released
and in that moment, we were bound
to Yahweh by the “Scarlet Thread”
of Christ’s Love for us. With Him
serving as Humanity’s High Priest,

Salvation requires us to partake
in His sacrifice, via acceptance
of His gift in the recognition of
our guilt from sin; this allows
The Father to properly adjudicate

and satisfy His requirements for
justice and His desire for mercy.
And now forgiveness is available
to all; Christ remains patient,
as He knocks on our heart’s door

while offering God’s free gift of
eternal Life and everlasting Love.

Poem: Waterfall

O Lord, once again, I have made a
conscious decision to set aside…
my ego and earthly plans to spend
quality time with You; as I strive

against the nonsense, troubling my
heart, allow your Holy Spirit to
cascade as a waterfall upon this
flesh, with the freshness of a new

dew that joyfully enhances my world
in unexpected ways. Overwhelm my soul
with an outpouring of Your Essence,
whereby the inward, God-shaped hole

Although both literary academia

largely ignored my poetry, I’m
not worried, nor concerned; it
could be an outward indication

Knowing that I’m loved by God,
it’s easier to dismiss fears;
I’m no longer dismayed by the

Poem: Contact With The Divine

Too many people are fearful, regarding
contact with The Divine; they realize
that they will be transformed by God,
but unrelentingly remain unwilling…

to make a commitment to His Kingdom.
Being identified as a Christian, grips
them with apprehension; the idea of
ridicule pierces their soul; wisdom

from God currently evades them, since
a deficiency of Faith constrains them;
with the presence of the Holy Spirit,
one is empowered to properly evince

within us illuminates God’s Love at
work in us with humble thanksgiving.

Poem: Unneeded, But Wanted

Yahweh understands the irony
surrounding us; though we’re
unneeded, but wanted by Him…
shows our ignorance; to see

Him as He is, would exceed our
current level of comprehension.
And yet, we have opportunities
to truly savor His divine power.

When will our pathetic attitudes,

given Salvation’s promise, that’s
the result of the Great Exchange?

Poem: Confirmation Bias

Between circular arguments
and confirmation bias, critics
debate the fallacies of Faith,
themselves unable to connect
to Yahweh via the divine spark
that has drawn us closer to Him;
each individual has been given
a unique measure of Faith; yet,
desire dictates the development

of our personal growth in Christ.
The Scriptures remain available
to those wishing to receive the
fullness of God’s Love or those
wanting to dispute His authority.
Now people choose to search only
for information that support…
their preconceptions; after all,
we’ve the choice of Death or Life.

If you’re not being stretched,
then could it be that you’re…

Are you today, wasting your wilderness?
Don’t you know, it’s appointed by God?
Nothing is squandered in His economy;
are you diligently seeking His holiness?

Do you realize, that He will humble you,
will test you and will do right by you?
Are you prepared for the future blessing,

especially for you! Rejoice loudly now!
Though you’re excessively burdened with

Poem: Objective Morality

Do we need to debate an argument
of objective morality, to prove
God’s existence? Can’t we look…
upward towards the sky and beyond,
to clearly observe a magnificence
of His, spectacular handiwork?

Are we nothing more than animals,
stuck in a plague-filled universe
of endless, ruinous destruction?
Are certain levels of violence
deemed acceptable and necessary?
Are we seeking excuses… to shirk

away from the responsibilities
of being our brother’s keeper?
Can our human actions be judged
simply, as either good or bad,
to match our current disposition?
Can any of our behaviors work

favorably, to move us from a state
of chaos to one of divine peace?
Is Love and self-sacrifice genuine?
Or should we just live with a sad
realization, that we prefer to act
badly as only… inhumane jerks?

Poem: Shalom

With the Hebrew letters of MEM,
VAV, LAMED and SHIN, one finds
an inner meaning overlooked by
most people; it also condemns

those who are following Satan.
Although its primary influence
is a declaration of serenity
and peace, souls may be shaken-

as they learn about the prayer’s
prophetic nature; its numeric and
pictographic language contributes
another, sizable spiritual layer

to its foundational definition.
At its core, it translates to:
“Destroy all authority connected
with any chaos and confusion.”

Poem: Elective Ignorance

Even though we have the gift of choice,
is it good to employ elective ignorance,
when it comes to our measure of Faith?
Can we be contented and simply rejoice

by choosing Life over Death, as Christ
wisely instructed us to do? Doesn’t it
behoove us to diligently learn about Him,
accept His decision to be sacrificed

and enjoy everyday life… victoriously?
If we’re applying principles of Truth
within our sphere of influence, then
shouldn’t we progress and successfully

meet new and ongoing challenges head on?
Isn’t it true, that we are not consumed,
since His compassion doesn’t fail and we
are blessed with new mercies each dawn?

Poem: More Than I Imagined

My role as a poetic scribe is…
more than I imagined, or had
hoped to do; He qualified me,
as one of His spiritual nomads,

who digs within the Scriptures,
in search of those prized gems-
eternal lessons of Godly wisdom.
I’m not desiring some stratagem,

to con people in turning to Him,
but to share my heart’s delight
of a solid Faith in Christ; He
strengthens me and by His Light

guides me forward in Truth; by
this gift, I can softly voice
my limited understanding of His
Love for me; I opt to rejoice,

having accepted His sufficiency
for my Life; I’m an extension
of Today’s New Testament Church,
rising up with poetic ascension…

while embracing my true identity
in Him; by His Grace and Spirit,
I’ll write new songs, stories,
poems and hymns that will lift…

all eyes unto the eternal Godhead.

Poem: Ever Glorious

Ever glorious is our God, the One,
Who imagined and birthed the universe,
of planets, stars, black holes, dust
and these silly, clay dolls filled…
with His natural, Life-giving breath;

who would discern that His delight,
was to play into the mud, getting
His hands dirty with some earth?
Or that the roadway to Him, is
driven with the vehicle of Death.

Ever glorious is our God, the One
Who is shrouded in the mystery of
Love’s embodiment; secure of Himself,
He allowed the goodness of creation
to be tainted by the ugliness of sin;

despite the bad decisions of Man,
His divine forgiveness and sacrifice
were offered without any hesitation;
and now we’re faced with the choice
that allows us… to humbly enter in.

Poem: Wheat and Tares

While most people are familiar with
the principle of ‘sowing and reaping’,
it can be difficult to distinguish
between Fact and Fiction; gleaning

the Truth sometimes takes time, so
that the authentic and the fake can…
be properly separated. Sad jealousies
are found when the evil works of Man

bloom against the stark contrast of
God’s reality; seeing the good and bad,
subtly reinforces our understanding of
the wheat and tares; let us be glad,

in knowing how God divinely operates;
in Him, we can move and have our being
when our Faith is extended on behalf
of His Kingdom; when we are agreeing

with His Word, it’s easier to love and
care for others regularly, as we must;
will people observe us as His Children,
if we’re not placing in God… our trust?

Poem: Eternal Dialog

The relationship between Christ
and Yahweh is an eternal dialogue;
a constant communication ensures
His intercession isn’t a backlog

of burdens, borne out of the pain
He suffered and endured at Calvary.
Having been clothed with the dust
of Humanity, He understood beauty

that’s found in our soul’s nature.
After all, we were made to worship
Him openly, freely and easily, with
an unfeigned heart of fellowship.

Made in His image, with the idea
to reflect the Godhead’s purpose
of living and loving everyone, we
delve beneath humanity’s surface

to discover… our identity in Him!

When will people observe,
the inner, poetic elegance…
of Christ Jesus in my life?

Does everyday nonsense of

Poem: Guilty and Forgiven

Are the motivations of our heart,
in sync with The Word’s principles?
Do we recognize that we’re guilty
and forgiven… by our blessed Lord?
While some forces seem irresistible,

we know that the battle is not ours
and our responsibility is in the gap;
are we truly standing united in Faith,
meeting needs and praying, employing
The Word as our spiritual bootstrap?

We push forward, not permitting pasts
to hold us back and bind our hands;
the mission of His Kingdom continues,
we willingly celebrate our commitments
and help others to exit the wasteland

of empty or destructive lifestyles.
When we’re humbled, we’re grateful
and thankful for His lasting goodness;
in His sacred wake, we’re left knowing…
that towards us, He’s always merciful.

Poem: Divine Mask

The divine mask of religion is an…
ugly misnomer of hatred and abuse,
used by the religiously empowered
to take ungodly advantage of weak,
spiritually challenged people,
whose Faith can be easily bruised.

It’s meant to hide the inability
of leaderships’ failure to walk in
an atmosphere of Love, as defined
by Christ Himself; with hostility
that’s masked, grace towards sin

is lacking, when The Word is used
as a club, since they’re unable to
provide general solace and succor
towards those struggling to grow
and mature properly. Christ’s view

of us, is tear-filled; He’s seen
and experienced the harsh cruelty
of Humanity’s efforts to mete out
justice blindly, without needed
consideration and understanding…
of Yahweh’s Providential authority.

Poem: A Taste of Psalm 1

We’re definitely blessed,
to know that we’re not…
blown about, like chaff;
if we perform, as taught,

then we’ll steer clear of
the ungodly, their counsel
and unforeseen troubles.
Via Jehovah’s holy council,

we delight in His Tenets,
Law, Principles, New Mercies
and Grace everyday; our lives
are planted as… sturdy trees

beside Christ’s fresh rivers
of everlasting, living waters;
therefore, let’s prosper as…
victorious sons and daughters.

Poem: Confessions of My Brokenness

Emotional scars, not wounds, document
the totality of my Life experiences;
even though my spirit hasn’t yet shed
its temporary, earthly encasement,

this fleshly clay of human brokenness
cautions me to always be ever mindful
of my blessed Lord and His sacrifice.
Pretending to overlook the preciousness

of this gift of Life, that was bestowed
to me, was an act of absolute foolishness
that kept me apart from Him; ignorance
on my part, insured that Grace flowed…

until my insight was lovingly obtained!
Being honest, with myself, allowed me
to be humbled and bowed before my Lord.
Through genuine vulnerability, I gained

my connection me to a God of redemption.
Though I have suffered, like many others,
I’m not alone; a pained confession of my
brokenness led me towards… His Salvation!

Poem: Connected to Hope?

Can you really expect to cope,
if you’re not connected to Hope?

Faith in Christ is a requisite;
let’s not be… overly delicate

in discussing this matter today;
He alone is the Life, Truth and Way!

Our need for a real relationship
with Him, pushes us towards kinship;

after all, we’re to be joint-heirs
and strive to be spiritually aware

of our Heavenly responsibilities!
It’s time to grow up, mature and see

the plan and purpose God has for us.
With our identity in Christ Jesus,

we find Life’s meaning and its scope,
seeing that we’re… connected to Hope.

Poem: Unveiled Faces

Unlike Moses, we should live…
with unveiled faces, letting
the Light of our Faith shine;
as His Children, we’re getting

favor among men; with clear eyes,
smiles and a bright disposition,
our efforts will be pleasing unto
The Lord, as we honor His position

as King of kings; He divinely rules
and reigns in our lives and hearts.
His holy promises remain steadfast
and His Holy Spirit will never depart

from us; as His human candles, our
unveiled faces pierce the darkness,
wherever our journey takes us; therefore,
let us shine… with His righteousness.

Poem: Facing Adversity

One of the many secrets,
for facing Life’s adversity
is a change of perspective;
adjusting the lens, we see

things from a Heavenly view-
whereby old problems are seen
as new opportunities, teeming
brightly, unsullied by routines

of dull, antiquated thinking.
Address all challenges head on,
without any semblance of fear;
employing some spiritual brawn

ensures that final solutions
can be found and implemented;
real satisfaction comes, when
by God, you’re complimented.

Eph 1:18; Matt 25:21  and

"It is one thing to face adversity but it is totally another thing to turn our adversity in to an eternal opportunity to become who God has planned us to be in Christ Jesus through it all. God never takes us through a tunnel that doesn't have a exit, so the one most important thing we have to do through the ordeal we face is to look in to the face of the Lord and trust Him that He will bring us out at the right time. Remember, that those who look in to God's face will become bright and rest in Him like as a baby, because they will understand that it is for their eternal good that God has taken them through such temporal tunnel experiences that bring eternal dividend. You can never learn to trust God more and more deeply, unless you pass through the dark tunnel experiences of life! So let go of yourself and let God take control." —Abraham Israel

Poem: Tranquility

Tranquility can’t be obtained
from external sources; ultimate
peace must come from within…
one’s own soul; when trained

by the local Church, ideals
of Truth’s tenets are taught;
they’re meant to elevate our
thinking, whereby what’s real

or true… becomes much clearer.
Life is simplified as false steps
are avoided; self-confidence grows
with Faith’s maturity; when nearer

to Jehovah, our Life is enhanced!
For His peace surpasses all human
understanding, where tranquility
dwells; when Faith has advanced,

you’ll find tranquility… more often!

Poem: Crumbs

The World’s perception of Christianity
is generally, an unimpressed disappointment;
we’re viewed as a collection of mongrel mutts,
housed at the local dog pound, foolishly
chasing rainbows for our lost contentment.

Although we’re not domesticated watchdogs,
collared and chained to the Master’s table
while begging for spiritual scraps of Faith,
they believe that we’re hoping for crumbs
to overcome a meager existence, simply unable

to grow and mature with the King’s wisdom.
If we’re not progressing with our victories
and experiences of success, the World’s view
and attitude will not change; therefore, we
need to develop our Faith and testimonies.

Poem: Mannequins

Oh, those store mannequins
with their pretty, empty heads
and unending, plastic smiles,
are forever standing, never dead

on their small, well-heeled feet.
As prime examples of fortitude,
they’re ready to make a sale…
at your expense; smug attitudes

can be imagined, as they strike
poses with ease and flexibility.
Do they mirror us, as placeholders
in Life? Having potential energy,

they remain lifeless in display Hell;
what things about us, do they tell?

Poem: Can I Love… What God Sees in Me?

Between self-deprecation
and ideas of lowliness,
who am I to believe, that…
I’m completely unlovable?
When can I love… what God
sees in me? Is my Creator,
wrong in thinking that I…
have value? Does this flesh
prevent me from being fully…
submerged in righteousness?

I’m of the humble opinion,
that His wisdom is greater
and far more knowledgeable
than my own; His judgment
remains unquestionable; He
reigns with sovereignty;
after all, He’s still God
and His perfect perception…
transcends the comprehension
that I could hope to muster.

Poem: This Side of Salvation

There are times, when we all need to
turn away from the things of this World;
though sinful behaviors can be pleasing,
we must live boldly with Faith unfurled!

How can we contemplate or desire living
without God’s great Love and Salvation?
Can we even afford to wastefully spend
our precious time with sad frustrations,

knowing that we may find ourselves in
Hell’s eternity with no possible escape?
We’re fortunate, to be on this side of
Salvation, knowing how Love was shaped

in the crucifixion of Christ at Calvary.
We have the ability to build our lives,
while overcoming all unexpected sorrows;
let’s drop the weapons… guns and knives

of destruction; the weakness of our flesh
is calling and pleading with our spirits
to return to its fallen state; but we’ll
only see Death’s sadness and its limits

even though… we could be rejoicing forevermore!

Poem: Now is the Time

The time for decisions is NOW;
for tomorrow is… not promised.
Open up your spirit to Christ;
heed the words of the psalmist

and grow by the tenets of Faith.
Now is the time for Salvation,
which is acceptable in His eyes;
Upon The holy Word’s foundation,

we’re supposed to stand, as we
fight the good fight of Faith;
so press and move forward in Him,
until reaching… Heaven’s gate.

Procrastination isn’t the answer,
for we’ll kneel, before the seat
of Judgment; an accounting of our
time will be presented, complete

with both failures and successes.
Will you be recognized, as one of
those faithful few, who will be…
welcomed into God’s Kingdom of Love?

Poem: Live Fearlessly

Three hundred sixty-five times,
we’re been instructed to not be
afraid; therefore, we’re to live
fearlessly with the revelation
knowledge of Who, God really is.
Troubles occur in Faith’s climb,

when the human ego fails to walk
within the Godly principles of
Love, Peace and Discernment; all
deal with unwanted issues, that
pop up unexpectedly. Accountability
remains; we’re liable to take stock

and be responsible for our actions;
as we have reverential fear of Him,
He finds pleasure in us, when we
exhibit Hope in His steadfast Love.
We’ll be able to live fearlessly,
when our Faith gains… its traction.

Poem: Led By Love

Though Today’s path is uncharted,
I’m not worried; being led by Love,
shows that my trust is in the One,
Who wanted a relationship started

with me, before I actually knew
Him and the sacrifice He had made.
When I trust the plan and purpose
geared for my Life, breakthroughs

that I seek, will materialize by
the very seeds of Faith I possess;
with Him alone as my inner guide,
my soul will soar and divinely fly

as we journey together, each day;
I’m no longer concerned about being
lost or where I’m now headed, since
He lovingly accompanies me on my way.

Poem: Embrace His Grace

When you… embrace His Grace,
you are made complete in Him;
the moral purity of His Word
and the power of His Presence
are sufficient for your race,

that you take alone on Earth.
He is your definitive Source,
your eternal, tireless Counsel,
your All-in-All and The Almighty.
Christ’s shed blood was worth

the sacrifice, He made for you!
Trust His Word, the finished work
on The Cross and His promises;
speak His Truth over your Life;
and you’ll discover breakthroughs

that draw you… even closer to Him!
Believe for His health, provision,
plan and purpose that He’s offered;
His efforts are final and complete;
honor Him now with songs and hymns!

Poem: This Broken Road

I had been sadly blinded
by my sinful misery,
listening to Life pass by;
Would I, be able to see

the Love that You had bestowed?
I’m stuck on this broken road;
restore my vision today,
as my purpose has been slowed.

I was like Bartimaeus,
waiting for Christ to find me;
unto Him, I cried and called;
He lovingly met my plea.

He greeted me where I was,
shunned by the neighborhood crowd;
transfixed, I stood before Him,
with my spirit, humbly bowed.

With gentleness He then spoke:
“Son, what’s your heart’s desire?”
When I quickly answered Him,
my spirit caught Faith’s fire!

Surprised, I rose to my feet,
as my sight was now restored;
astonished, with thanksgiving,
I embraced and praised… my Lord!

Today, I’m walking by Faith
even when I can’t see it;
traveling this broken road,
prepared Your great will for me.

Teach me Lord, Your Holy Writ
and to live with renewed Faith!
Knowing that Your Grace has flowed;
please lift me up, from my knees!

Planted by the river of Living Waters,
I remain rooted and grounded in Christ;
He provides for my thirst, my hunger,
my Salvation and my everlasting Life.

With the foundation of Biblical Truth,
I’m rooted and grounded in the Holy Word;
the application of its principles gives

When walking in holiness and rectitude,

His Essence softly embraces me with grace,

Poem: Congregation of the Dead

In lifeless patterns of repetition,
the congregation of the dead assemble,
eddying around the Light of Truth;
lacking reverence, they sadly tremble

and cringe during the Sunday Service,
seeking loopholes from accountability;
after all, regular attendance grants
the sacred status of Church nobility.

Meanwhile, frustrated ministers hurl
their verbal rocks, in futile attempts
to weed out their spiritual deadwood,
unaware that their righteous contempt

reveals their inability to love others.
Some lacking understanding may wander in,
since membership dues may be optional.
Come join the Church Petri dish of sin

to learn new zombie techniques of gnawing
on the flesh of religious, blind souls;
with Bible clubs and tongues of hell-fire,
receive your training and go on patrol.

Most folks know that ‘iron sharpens iron’;
so come and let us beat you mentally down;
since we’re unable to mature any further,
let’s make sure that you leave with a frown.

Learn secret methodologies for developing
a critical spirit and a unloving tongue;
come fill the vacancy of front-row pews;
come and join us, while you’re still young.

Poem: Rise Up

As Children of The Almighty,
we have the God-given ability
to rise up, without the shame
of knowing who we really are,
despite our souls’ fragility.

Have we been taught and shown
Love, Mercy, Grace, Forgiveness
and Peace that we require daily?
So what is holding us back now,
from overcoming this human mess

of feeling inadequate or ignorant?
About 90 of The World is headed
towards Hell, unconvinced about
the legitimacy of the Christian
Lifestyle, whereby God’s embedded

His Presence and power is in us.
We’re not meant to be superfluous,
seeing that we’re supposed to be
both the hands and feet of Christ.
So The World remains nonplussed,

plagued by their own doubts, which
is reinforced by our poor treatment
of them; our continued failures to
walk in Love, reflects our inability
to thrive with joyous contentment.

Poem: Obstacles in Life

Life’s obstacles can only delay us
from achieving our God-given purpose;
instead of becoming frustrated, we
should look to Christ and just focus

on the underlying issues in prayer.
Obstacles may perfect personal traits,
like having peace by waiting on Him,
so that our hearts are not deflated.

They kick up dust, blinding our vision
whereby, we must go back to Him again;
When our eyes are focused on Christ,
He lights our path and lessens our pain.

Instead of worrying and becoming anxious,
I’ve decided to cast my burdens on Christ,
knowing that He earnestly cares for us;
employing His principles, no real strife

can ever deter us from personal victories.
We’re blessed, from persevering our trials;
for these too, will eventually leave us,
lasting but a short, inconvenient while.

Poem: Raised in Glory

It’s important to remember that Death,
has been conquered by Christ’s victory;
though our mortal flesh is perishable,
our spirits will rise and we will see

Him in His exalted radiance, as The Son.
Like Him, we too will be raised in glory;
we will be completely reconciled unto God,
with Christ having no sense of animosity

towards us, regarding His experiences
as our propitiation on Calvary’s Cross.
After all, He submitted to The Father’s
plan, for redeeming the World’s lost.

Out of dust, the first Adam was raised;
from Heaven, came last Adam: The Christ;
the first brought upon us sin and Death,
while the latter… bestowed eternal Life.

Poem: Pascal’s Wager

One of many apologetic arguments
is an application of Game Theory,
as defined by “Pascal’s Wager”;
ideas of infinite gain make leery

skeptics doubt a likely existence
of an omnipotent and omniscient God,
Who is worthy of our time and talent.
They believe this premise is flawed,

as they willingly bet against Hell,
damnation and its infinite losses;
the discussion, of rational thought
and atheistic stances, crisscrosses

Poem: Haters Gonna Hate

The anger in them rises
cause they’ve lost their inner Light;
gone are their chances for Love;
so they rail against the night…
without an understanding.

When blinded by defeat’s grief,
they lash out with their hatred.
Jealous of your victory,
their vitriol is blood red-
stuck in misunderstanding.

Serve Christ and His Kingdom, while
covered with His holiness;
please Him during Life’s routines;
shine brightly with Righteousness.
Live your Life with Faith’s branding.

Wear holy armor each day;
let your joy attract the lost;
revel in Faith’s contentment;
remain grateful for The Cross
and show Love’s understanding!

When you really consider it,
there’s no reason for a debate;
Love doesn’t justify itself,
seeing that… haters gonna hate!

Poem: Staying in Peace?

Are you regularly transcending your ego?
Is doubt interfering with your intentions?
Can you dream dreams and envision a future,
that are aligned with His plan of Salvation?

Will your dreams manifest into your reality?
Have you discussed your purpose with Him?
Can you claim that you’re making progress?
Are you imploding from events that are grim

and seeking to pull your soul downward again?
Are you applying Biblical principles often,
to your personal, family and professional lives?
Are you kind toward others, with a heart soften

by the joyous message of God’s abundant Love?
Are you involving yourself in high-energy levels
of appreciation, reverence, trust and optimism?
Or are you sacrificing at the feet of devils,

who have stolen your Life’s sacred, first Love?
In the midst of your brokenness, does Light shine?
Can the uninitiated and unsaved, see any evidence
in your behavior, whereby your life is a shrine

that proclaims the greatness and goodness of God?
From agitations and disruptions, do you find release?
Can you stay clear of commotions and hullabaloos?
Are you living… in turmoil or staying in peace?

Poem: Still Doubting Yourself?

With Faith, there’s no need to hide;
His Spirit, in you, resides;
shed any vain foolishness
and follow your Holy Guide.

To the lost, Faith makes no sense;
at Last Judgment, the pretense
of personal ignorance…
fails as a valid defense.

The World knows hypocrisy
and it watches us closely;
they covet genuine proof
that your Faith has eyes to see!

With “Intelligent Design”,
they’re slow to admit that signs
of God’s Role is evident,
but hope to drink His new wine!

Are you, still doubting yourself?
Are you, failing to see change,
that’s occurring in your heart?
By the Savior’s Great Exchange,

you’ll get a crown of beauty
and not ashes of mourning;
contentment develops as…
you see yourself transforming!

Poem: Behind Every Difficulty

God has a purpose and plan,
behind every difficulty
and life experience we face;

we’re never blindly promised
a lifetime of ease or pleasure,
but a flow of mercy and grace

to soothe heartaches and pain.
We’ve the strength to overcome
by His Word and we’re blessed

as children… of the Living God!
We’re to go forth believing,
knowing that we’re sustained,

imparted with His divine rest.

Poem: Let Us Live

Let us live, like we are
worth the high price He paid;
let us be truly grateful,
of the sacrifice Christ made.

Let us live, like we are
Children of His eternal Kingdom;
let us walk with Love, Power
and the Spirit of divine wisdom.

Let us live, like we are
inseparable members of His family;
let us reflect, real integrity,
with Light’s full transparency.

Let us live, like we are
conquerors sharing His victory;
let us be authentic, whereby
the Christ in us… has liberty!

Poem: Better Than a Sermon

When each of us, reach another,
a soul can be eternally saved;
the path has been laid out and
you must be courageously brave!

Are you willing to die to self?
Can you access the mind of Christ?
Do others see that you live for Him?
Do you have… His everlasting Life?

Better than a sermon on your lips,
is a contented spirit of humility;
in Life’s brokenness, you can shine
with His Light and vulnerability.

Christianity isn’t for wimpy souls;
many have died, having been martyred.
Become born-again on this very day;
Faith with Christ, can’t be bartered.

Poem: Now, That is Faith

It’s too easy to trust God,
when Life is good, pleasant
and free of everyday strife.

When we’re comfortable, joy
is often experienced; lost is
sight of Him, Who gives Life.

Unfortunately, tragedy’s pain
is released upon us, whereby we
succumb to despair, unbelief

and the darkness that envelops
a World with sin’s rebellion.
We’re now unfocused; no relief

is available to our sad souls;
we’re swallowed by an evil that
stabs us… with merciless grief.

Calling Christ now, that is Faith-
when we choose to move forward,
rise up and reaffirm our beliefs

in the One, Who truly saves us.

Poem: Wild Flowers

Are we God’s garden of wild flowers,
bringing fresh color into this World?
Can we find His fingerprints on us,
with divine patterns that are whorled?

With the coolness of His Holy Spirit,
there is a calming cascade of grace
that waters and refreshes our souls.
Under the Gardener’s careful embrace,

we’re given the individual attention
that promotes our spiritual growth;
He made the commitment to Humanity,
by the promise of Christ’s blood oath

for our everlasting Life in Salvation.
Though our days on Earth are limited,
no differently than the grass of Earth,
our innate potential is still unlimited

since we’re designed after His Image.
From the gifts we’re given, we can bloom
into the people He has imagined, with…
the lasting scents of Heaven’s perfume.

Poem: No Reserves. No Retreats. No Regrets.

My missionary work, to an extent,
has been accomplished under grace;
most of the poetry I’ve composed
has been shared with the World,
with the intent of drawing others
towards The Kingdom and the face

of Christ, beloved Lord and Savior.
Pushed far out of my comfort zone,
I’ve taken this notion of identity,
that’s found solely in my Christ,
and pushed bravely forward with it-
at the dismay of brethren who bemoan

the label of Christian poet and author.
I can’t and won’t apologize for actions
taken to glorify God through evangelism;
Christ is the living Word; His Truth
courses through my spirit, as I explore
my Faith and understanding of Salvation.

Poem: The Shape of Love

The shape of Love is not a heart,
but that… of a solitary cross;
the burden of Christ’s sacrifice
was a desire to redeem the lost.

For Him, to reflect the Love of
The Father, is unimaginable to us;
such mercy and grace required God,
Who was embodied by Christ Jesus.

By the actions of one man, sin was
birthed into this world by Adam;
and now, through Christ, its affect
can be diminished, as we imagine

ourselves being made in the image
of God, according to His Holy Word.
Through the crucifixion of Christ,
the power of God in Him was stirred

to raise Christ from Humanity’s grave
in the sacrificial act of God’s Love;
therefore, we should mirror our Lord
daily, pulling down Heaven from above

by living with Grace, Mercy and Love.

Poem: Walking Worthily?

Is it possible, to be walking worthily,
before our God, in a world that’s dying?
While we have some defined understanding
of the constraints that are placed on us,
are we making the effort or even trying?

Are we operating with humbled mindsets
of lowliness, meekness and long-suffering?
Have we grasped the full purpose and plans,
for our vocation within His eternal Kingdom?
Do our actions show that we’re endeavoring

to move beyond personal crusades and desires
to impress anyone, whose lives intersect ours?
Is there a unity of The Spirit, whereby we
can have serenity with everyone around us?
Are we being productive or just wasting hours?

Does our Christian lifestyle reflect the idea
of us having one Lord, one Faith and one Baptism?
Are those, within the Church or outside of it,
being edified by the way we conduct ourselves?
Or are we acting out… in spiritual vigilantism?

Poem: An Ease In My Soul

The tangible presence of Jehovah,
is an overwhelming ease in my soul;
the wearisome cares of this World
slough off, reaffirming His control

over all of creation, time and space.
His sense of freedom from hardships,
constraints, embarrassments, pain,
and efforts dissipate as relationship

with Him, overpowers Life’s moments
in quick glimpses of divine intimacy.
The peace of Heaven calms my spirit,
whenever I give myself to Him and see

my identity, that’s found in Christ.

Poem: On The Cross of Calvary

You were beaten and bruised,
for the sinful likes of me;
three nails pierced Your flesh,
as You were hung… at Calvary.

An unthinkable act of Love
was cruelly executed for me;
for You took the punishment,
that had been… meant for me!

With forgiveness on Your breath,
You requested a pardon for those,
who carried out judgment on You,
as a death sentence was imposed.

A spear was thrust in Your side,
as Your demise was underscored;
when it was mundanely removed,
both blood and water had poured.

[chorus]
On The Cross of Calvary,
Love was brokenhearted;
Salvation was paid in full;
Grace’s flow was started.

[bridge]
We don’t fully understand,
God’s goodness towards us;
Sin’s debt was wiped out,
by the sacrifice of Jesus.

We adore Him, since Christ
had truly loved us first;
He bore the painful brunt
of payment for Sin’s curse.

Poem: Hurt by Unyielding Truth?

Does anyone need slurs,
from slandering neighbors?
Should it bother anyone,
that people seek after God?

Would it be better, to have
vile people influencing those,
with whom you have interaction
on a regular or daily basis?

What benefit can there be,
when individuals choose to
callously break their oaths?
Are they friend-worthy?

Ideas of no absolute truth
are destructive forces, meant
to ruin our relationship
with the one, true God.

Can anyone really be
hurt by unyielding Truth,
when it uncovers the lies
that people are living?

Poem: Unsearchable Things

Lord, You’ve lovingly taught me
to call unto You, having promised
to reveal great, wondrous secrets.
Hidden within Thy Word are mysteries
that have yet to be fully revealed;
as I seek, don’t let me misinterpret

the Biblical Truths You’ve presented.
What principles of Yours must I employ,
for finding these unsearchable things?
How do I know my underlying motivations
will be in alignment with Your Word,
if I’m unaware of what they may bring?

This appears to require greater levels
of Faith, without viable explanations.
Therefore, I’m compelled to trust more
and be pushed out of my comfort zone;
can I find unsearchable things, O Lord,
by using Faith to knock on Heaven’s door?

Poem: A Glorious Man?

It just can’t be a coincidence,
that my origin is that of soil;
for it provides both fertility
and the strength for human toil.

Buried deep within my spirit is
Your garden, implanted with seeds;
once I’ve been tilled by You, Lord
I’ll meet one of Your Kingdom needs.

My life’s labor won’t go unrewarded,
for it’s scented with the perfume
of an authentic, Christian Faith.
Your words in me are a poetic bloom

that brings encouragement to others.
Will my humble life be as You planned?
O Lord, will Your expectations be met
with me still becoming… a glorious man?

Your unfailing Love and new mercies,
greet me in subtle waves of unsung joy.
My weary and hurting soul now embraces
yet another opportunity to be with You;
in dawn’s early light, I begin to see

the fulfilled promises of another day.
Completely open my heart, eyes, soul
and spirit with Your ethereal Presence.
Show me the ordained path that’s lit
with the Light of Your Heavenly sway.

When I’m with You, I’ll never stumble.

decided to move forward with You alone,

Poem: Broken Bread and Whine

O my Lord, help me move beyond
this downward expression of:
confused, constant complaining;
where’s the reflection of Love?

Is my simple Christianity like:
Stale bread with a harden crust?
Is my sad, suffering condition
a spiritually dry, wheat rust?

Lord, let me be broken for You,
so Your bright Light in me shines;
in service, let me be poured out
like sweet, sacramental wine.

The dryness of my worn Faith
has become worthless rubble.
No one wants “bread of affliction”
as a prompt for past troubles.

The bitterness of sour grapes
is never a healthy sign;
help get me off this crash diet-
of this broken bread and whine.

Lord, let me be broken for You,
so Your bright Light in me shines;
in service, let me be poured out
like sweet, sacramental wine.

Will people stop offering
me their cheeses for my whine?
Please break the endless cycle of
this spiritual decline.

Stop people from offering
me their cheeses for my whine.
Please break the endless cycle now,
before I run out of time.

Poem: Within This Circle

Within this circle of
the human condition,
selfish babies will cry
and most people will die…
hoping to see God’s Love.

Within this circle of
this Life’s circumstances,
it seems no one can trust
as souls are going bust,
hoping to see God’s Love.

Within this circle of
clueless Church families,
the Unsaved remain queued
up for Hell and still brood,
hoping to see God’s Love.

Being focused on ourselves,
we’ll never reach paradise;
we require each other,
as strong sisters and brothers,
with a true Faith that’s precise.

Poem: Happiness Will Be Realized

I want to journey to a place,
that’s unknown and unfamiliar;
He’ll stop the sense of déjà vu
and nothing can be familiar.

I’d love to get that sensation,
to live without pointing fingers;
when surrounded by holy peace,
I can know His Presence lingers.

Within this blessed serenity,
I’ll find His joy without worries;
Life slows to a Godly pace where
I’m being, not in a hurry…

to escape His magnificence!
Imagine streets without violence,
whereby music fills the air and
sirens are replaced by silence.

There will be no more funerals,
but continued celebrations
of Life and God’s enduring Truth;
we’ll praise- Christ for His Salvation,

The Holy Ghost for His comfort
and the Love of The Great I Am.
Finally, we’ll witness first hand,
grown lions lying down with lambs.

Happiness will be realized
under Heaven’s bright atmosphere;
all pain and suffering is gone,
since our eternal God is here!

No weather forecasts are needed
when perfection is everywhere;
joyful songs of praise fill our ears,
as we rest in His lasting care!
