My Hidden Treasure

In the lonely streets of my village
I wandered and wandered
in search of the hidden treasure,
Peace.

In all the way I went,
my search was in vain
again and again in vain.

I didn't find it in the meadows.
I didn't see it in the clouds.
I didn't feel it in the breeze.

My way went long and long,
without a foreseeable end.
My route was crowded and busy.

I never knew where my journey will end.
I never knew what i am going to be.
I never knew which was the right way.

I found a ray of hope,
when i saw the whitish light
which came from an unknown source.

My eyes followed the light.
My ears listened to its music
My lips praised its glory.

I walked and walked
And at last my walk stopped
I was startled, I found
my hidden treasure
And that was myself.

The light was me.
Peace laid in my heart,
in my  mind.
I made the way
from me to me!
