Blank Stare
I feel so helpless.
When I look into your eyes, it pierces my heart with pain.
Knowing you'll never be the same.
I stare deep into your eyes,
hoping that you'll know who's there.
My name I long to hear.
My eyes are filled with tears.
Thinking back over the past years.
O how your state of mind heightens my fears.
It can transcend through the blood and we can
suffer the same.
Once a man twice a child, the power all lies in the brain.
I ask the question,"Do you remember me over and over again?"
Your body is fragile like a newborn and you are like a rose among thorns. You fail to know what is wrong as your mind is no longer strong.
If you had a chance you will not have accepted this condition. Your mind has let you down, only the ones who truly care comes around. True love is not easily found. My heart bleeds to see what old age has done, and the man I once knew is gone.
