Lo

Sunrise

Rays of sun barely peeking through
The darkness tries to hide
But every day it never works
The clouds are no disguise
I anxiously wait for what seem like forever
Then the birds begin to sing
Alerting the approach of the morning sun
Its essence so easily entrancing
Nature's tunes start slow and simple
Warning that night is soon to end
The announcement grabs the attention of others
And no sooner they all join in
The music grows and grows and grows
This is it, what I've been waiting for
The sun stretches across newly blue skies
Becoming bright as I gaze in amazement
I wish this moment was frozen in time
My favorite time of the day, sunrise
