GRANDMOM

grandmom,
i really miss you - you were taken from me when i was at a young age,
even though i'm still hurt by it - i'll never turn the page.
at times i get tears in my eyes - and sometimes i cry,
i really wish we had alot more time together - why did you have to die?!

grandmom,
you always went out of your way for me to make me happy - you were always there,
i was a kid, a brat - i always took you for you granted, and didn't care.
when i got older is when i realized just how special you really were to me - and that you were great,
i never got the chance to tell you that - because you were taken from me in my teen age years, and it was too late.

grandmom,
i love you - you'll always remain in my heart,
you're there, and i'm here - but we're not really apart.
thank you for always being a beautiful person to me,
i'm so sorry that i was so nasty to you then - i now see.

grandmom,
when it's my time to go - we'll be a family,
i want that now - but i can't have that opportunity.
you treated me better than my so-called parents did,
i realize that now - i just wish i did when i was a kid.

grandmom,
so.....i'll keep visiting your grave - just like i always do,
even though we're together in spirit - going there makes me eel close to you.
i'm all grown up now grandmom - i'd treat you so much better,
when we're finally together, i'll be able to tell you things face to face - instead of in a poem / letter.
