I Hate to Be Single, but I Still Have to Wait!
A man that I deeply respect once said that "A happy wife equals a happy life." Well, he's married; so obviously, I believe him in that statement.
Problem is, that statement makes me hate the fact that I'm single. To be honest, I want to experience those joyfully painful headaches of "making a wifey happy." But I also know I still have to learn so many thing first, given the fact that I'm still a happy-go-lucky immature jerk.
Like what the man said to me, it takes much maturity, humility, and charity (love) for him to keep his wife happy. And I know within myself that I'm not yet mature enough, humble enough, and loving enough to be ready for a next relationship. I still remember how my immaturity, pride, and apathy hurt the people that I'm supposed to love. I'm just afraid that the same thing might happen to my next lady.
I guess still have to wait until I'm ready for it. After all, "house and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD" (Proverbs 19:14, ESV). And because she will be my inheritance from the Lord, she'll be given at the right time.
