Script The Mind

Behind my walls I'm safe
Within these walls I'm scared
And slowly but surely
Time passes on
Never wanting
Never waiting
Just hoping
For us to spawn
Listen for it
You can hear it calling
This is the dream
Where you start falling
These forgotten eyes
Have seen many things
And much more to come
With days not fasting
Finding my way to a window
Climbing through
Killing the man with no widow
My turn to fill these shoes
Believing in a book
That scripts the mind
Is like scaling a mountain
When you're blind
And one of these days
You'll go insane
Can't find the way out of this maze
And you're the only one to blame

The Land Of Thought

There's a world beyond my eyes
Which was written without a pen
It writes of everything but lies
And sets a harvest in the den
In the booklet the paper melts
Yet my mind is unfit to write
Every other thought now expels
Trying to gain more insight
To play with the mind
To play with reason
To unravel time
To unravel the seasons
In life you must experience
What its like to be one
But all you desire is
What its like to be none
To welcome death
Is a painful emotion
And to overcome it
Takes an internal explosion
So here I meander
In the land of thought
All I've done is wonder
And everything I have sought
