Here's to You

Here's to you, my dear old friend!
To days we thought would never end!
To times we spent here in the fall
To things we'd never done at all...
And here's to Nights we'd spend together
And all we'd thought would last forever
And here's to summers with no end
And all for you, my dear old friend.
Here's to all we've done and seen
And here's to all that might have been
And here's to us, here's to an end
Here's for what lies 'round the bend.

Note: We've all had friends we thought would never leave, and then they DID. This isn't just a poem saying that those friends are missed, even though we all know they are. It's more saying that even if you lose someone, life goes on, and the next adventure is just around the corner. So, as an add on: Here's to the adventures we have yet to see, And here's to new friends, whomever they may be!
