Why Porn is NOT For Real Men
As most of those who are acquainted wth me knows, I was a terrible porn addict when I was younger. And as a former porn addict, I believe I have the legitimacy to say that porn is NOT for real men.
But then, what is my definition of "being a real man" at the first place? As a Christian, I believe that Jesus Christ is the real model of of real manhood. Why? It is because of Who He is - God in flesh.
As God, He is Immovable, Unshakable, and Untammable. And when He came into the world as a man, retained His nature of being God. Retaining His Deity while becoming a man, manhood was maximized in Him. Like what one of my favorite Christian rappers Kevin Elijah "KB" Burgess said, "The God-Man - 100 percent masculinity."
And do you know what Jesus did as a man? He fought for the honor of His church - which is His Bride - when he faced an unimaginably tormentous death on the cross. He went and faced unimaginable pains as He was carrying His cross to die for His beloved Bride. And with Jesus being the model of real manhood, I believe that real men fight for women's honor.
But antithetical to that idea is what porn does. Let us be honest, big boys - porn is anything but women-honoring! Porn shows us that it's okay to exploit women. Porn shows us that it's okay to sexually objectify women (that is, to view them as "sexual objects"). Porn shows us an illusion that women naturally want to be sexually used, abused, exposed to public view, and even physically hurt. Is that what honoring women looks like?
So there you go, my friends - porn is NOT for real men. Let us all grow up and accept the truth!- Shim'onai :D
